The last guy who gave Fury a tough fight and caused all sorts problems in Wallin was easy work for AJ. At least since the Fury fight Wallin came off a career best win against Gassiev. A MMA guy with 1 fight 1 loss (despite being very controversial) . I much rather see AJ fight any of Hrgovic, Zhang and Sanchez.
Some very good fights mentioned. Aside from what has been already stated, here's a few suggestions. Wilder-Whyte would be nice, simply for the entertaining buildup. Miller-Ruiz? Ruiz has been incredibly inactive (last fight 2022). Miller would be a good comeback fight/acid test to see here he is at.
I am sure that Chris Wilder, Sheff Utd Manager had Fury on the canvas more than once and came within 2-3 secs of winning 2 fights. The Grey Drummer was very unlucky but I may have got the wrong end of the stick.
AJ would beat Fury, the AJ that beat Wallin is far better than the Whyte that flopped v Fury, he keeps getting jolted by uppercuts.
The day of reckoning card has really put the cat amongst the pigeons amongst the heavyweights. Wallin was exposed as utter shite. Dubois had more will power than previously thought. Wilder was shite- everyone suddenly remembered how rubbish a boxer he is besides his KOs. Joshua came out with some fire in his belly for first time in years Kabayel looked very impressive Fury's resume took a dent with Wallin and Wilder soundly beaten- wouldn't suprise me if he pulls out of Usyk fight
Will Boxxer be part of the next date as they seem to be the only promotion that wasn't othet than Goldenboy
Called it in the RBR after round 2. It was exactly the same traits. Something in the genes of giants?
AJ v Zhang, someone's getting flopped Daniel "shades of Ali" Dubois v kabayel, can't see it not being good scrap Wilder v miller, last chance saloon yank brawl (though wilder should probably turn it in now) Joyce v makmudov, two big lumps coming off a loss Sanchez v hrgovic No rhyme or reason behind these regarding rankings, mandatorys just what I'd find entertaining. We often talk about how poor this era is and there's no Ali or Lewis or Tyson, but there's a few half decent heavys and we'd have some great entertainment if they'd all get in with each other
Agree on that. The card on Saturday was entertaining end to end because of the variety through the match-ups.
Thought it was rotten from the start of the Bivol fight as neither of the final 3 opponents that lost contributed anything to the show.
I meant to add "except for the Bivol fight" and forgot! Yes, think I said on here, I went out to Tesco while that was on, don't think I missed very much. Enjoyed the Wilder and AJ fights afterwards for what it's worth, AJ mostly because it was quick.
