    LO
LOL Well, you and I know Wilder isn't near Ali or the top 10 best HW's. But, as you mentioned, he did make the Cooney thread. Not a too flattering if you ask me. His comparisons are accurate and factual regardless of his motivation. He is way off putting Wilder on the same level as Ali and Louis. I have not read all of dudes threads. Does he give examples as to why he believes Wilder is on par with the other great heavies?

He hasn't outright stated it (I believe he knows how outlandish that notion is), so he just says that Wilder will get in the Hall of Fame, thus making him their peer in that regard. As for the reasons why, because he has made 10 defences, has many KO's, was in a great trilogy and because he is a popular Heavyweight. The latter 2 don't make a fighter, and the former 2 seem great on paper if you ignore his atrocious opposition. That said, yeah, he probably will be inducted. He in no way deserves it, but the hall has really become a joke at this point. If Gatti got in, I don't see why Wilder won't.

You're again just cherry picking what makes your opinion look more accurate when in reality you're ignoring a plethora of reasons as to why Vitali's resume was better.

Sure Solis' best win was Austin but what was Ortiz's best win again, Jennings lol. Neither of them had good pro records, but Solis showed in the ams their was a vast gap between them in ability and when he fought Vitali he was 8 years younger than Ortiz and coming off his best win to date while Wilder waited over 2 years after Ortiz had his best win and had looked poor in recent fights including a fight with his mate and sparring partner Scott.

True officially it's 0-2 but those fights were competitive especially the first one and that was an old faded Chisora not the prime version that Vitali faced. So Chisora win still a better result for Vitali given how easily Parker handled Wilder.

Even if he was not 50% as Fury said lets not pretend Fury was even close to being 100%. We saw what a 100% Fury did to Wilder, he utterly dominated him, while Vitali was ahead on points vs a fighter who is undeniably regarded as superior to Fury. So again still favour Vitali.

True that Briggs was past it and his last good win was 4 years ago, but then Wilder's win over Liakhovich was against a Liakhovich who hadn't had a good win since Brewster 7 years before. Plus the age difference between Briggs and Vitali was 1 year, so Vitali wasn't prime either while the difference between Wilder and Liakhovich was 10 years. So again another example of Vitali having a superior win over one of Wilder's wins.

Wilder's resume isn't even close to Vitali's and given that Vitali's wasn't that good it's clear Wilder's resume was awful.

Sanders brutually destroyed an ATG World title holder by KO. When did Wilder, or worse again, a Wilder victim (bless) do that?

I don't think Boxrec is going to save you here Mr. Beard.

Tell that to Brighton Bomber, he knew that but claimed that Ortiz was better than Sanders anyway. He'd make the argument that Puritty was a journeyman and beat Wlad and Brewster was a fringe contender, so beating Wlad didn't establish Sanders as being that good, especially as he lost to Nate Tubbs, Rahman and Vitali.

    "You're again just cherry picking"

I was responding to you point by point. Though what's the point when you disingenuously claim that Slobis, whose best win is Stiverne's 3rd and who lost to Thompson (the Thompson who lost to Scott), the Thompson who certainly isn't in Ortiz's top 4 wins, was "levels above Ortiz". Maybe as an amateur, certainly not as a pro. And you've acknowledged that Ortiz was better than Sanders in the past, so you shot yourself in the foot there. Plus Chisora > Peter in your stated view, the same Chisora who said "I'll never fight Ortiz, hard night at the office".

    "old faded Chisora"

Maybe Vitali fought a green Chisora, Chisora was coming off giving Usyk the 2nd toughest fight of his career at that point when he fought Parker the first time.

"Even if he was not 50% as Fury said lets not pretend Fury was even close to being 100%"

It's impossible to quantify, though we know that Fury wasn't washed up based on subsequent performances and Fury approached Wilder completely different in fights 2 and 3. Fury took the fight against Wilder in America because he believed he was in good enough condition to beat him. And Wilder got a result, against the lineal champ who had previously schooled ATG Wlad in his backyard.

"while Vitali was ahead on points vs a fighter who is undeniably regarded as superior to Fury"

McCall and Rahman one-shotted Lewis early. Vitali threw the kitchen sink at him for 6 rounds and failed to do more than shake him up. He threw the kitchen sink at blown-up LHW Byrd for 9 rounds to absolutely no effect. Wow Vitali was ahead on points, he still lost. He had a golden opportunity to beat an overconfident Lewis but the overconfident and limited Vitali flunked it.

"True that Briggs was past it and his last good win was 4 years ago"

Liakhovich had a competitive fight over the distance with Joshua-conqueror Ruiz after Wilder had sent him convulsing on the canvas in 103 seconds. I see that as a vastly more impressive performance than Vitali failing to stop a zero ambition to win washed up punching bag Briggs.

    "Wilder's resume isn't even close to Vitali's"

There's very little between them. Vitali has Sanders (who is inferior to Ortiz, according to you) and Chisora, Wilder has Ortiz and Stiverne. Though Wilder has a draw with Fury, a result against a far better fighter than Vitali has on his record. Wilder also doesn't have a prime quit job against a blown-up LHW.

Well… one thing very different between the two is one has a sibling that knocked one of the guys getting compared THE **** OUT twice in sparring :) The other has a sibling that got FLATLINED shortly after mouthing off to Tony Bellew like he was a gangster.

Vitali beating Sanders for the title just after he brutallised Waldo for the belt is better than Wilder's entire career combined. And that's a fact.

There's a case to be made that Herbie was a better HW than Havid Haye.

Wilder's title run is similar to Valuev's. Valuev was a protected circus act too. Nobody thinks he's an ATG though.

*Even though he's beaten an actual ATG unlike Wilder.
