I am not exactly sold on Hrgovic yet either.

I don't have a high opinion of Atlas. People on this forum have better track records with their predictions.

Given that Joshua has fought and beaten better opposition than Hrgovic I doubt it's because "he didn't want that smoke".

As for styles he's basically a slightly more limited AJ. I haven't really seen Hrgovic do anything that merits the hype yet.

    Last time I checked

AJ got chinned off by a little midget named Ruiz Jr on 3 weeks notice
Got slapped around and tried to outbox a master boxer in Usyk twice
Beat some small American over the distance
Beat Helenius and got bloodied up doing fighting scared to death
Managed to stop his sparring Partner Otto Wallin by TKO

So people really think he will handle Hurgo without issue?

Nah don't think so. Tough fight and the best opponent he will have fought since Wlad , ignoring Usyk.

And do you really think Fury is beating Usyk after getting smashed up by a novice?

AJ may have recovered some of his confidence but not all.
If this guy catches him everything will crumble.
Most likely AJ plays it safe and wins a decision.

Hrgovic might beat him but Joshua is the more proven right now. And Hrgovic fights surprisingly crappy opponents on a fairly regular basis. That's usually a bit of red flag for me.

I rate Hrgovic. Solid fundamentals, good technical boxer too. Could be the whole package - but when the going got tough, he seemed a bit checked out which is a concern.

However, I feel like a Joshua fight is tough for him at this stage. Joshua is far more experienced against top opposition, which will give him a distinct advantage. He's also bigger and stronger, and fundamentally just as sound.

I think it has parallels with the Pulev fight. And though Hrgovic is fresher, he's also greener - so I see him bringing it more, which plays to Joshua's strengths. He keeps it long and neat, and eventually breaks Hrgovic down and stops him.

Will be a good watch though!

I'm gonna have to go with Atlas here and favour AJ. I don't get the hype around Hrgovic myself. I had him beating Zhang by 1 but have hardly been blown away by what I've seen with him.

40 year old Zhang has never fought an AJ class fighter.

And people are saying Wilder is washed at 38.

    AJ beats Zhang. And easily.

Joshua should beat Hrgovic with ease. However this is the heavyweight. and Hrgovic does have a chance if he lands one of this power punch. Other than that Hrgovic doesnt have a chance.

    Bollocks.

Motivated Hrgovic is a damn menace. Talented, iron whiskers, proper puncher, educated lead hand, proper ring geometry.
He has gaps, but he can do certain things extremely well for a heavy.
