Thats just not true. Its just a bad matchup for Joshua. It is what it is.

I woudlnt say he was getting outclassed the 2nd time. I would just say he was losing rounds.

Wilder's heart is a weird one.

Twice when he was put under sustained pressure he quit (Fury 2) and mentally checked out (Parker). Against Ortiz 1 he needed ref help to avoid getting TKOed, but to his credit came back strong to win the fight. And he never stopped fighting in the third Fury fight, even when getting his ass beat (a bit like Joshua vs Wlad and Ruiz 1).

Joshua would put it on him from the opening bell, and likely be beating him all over the ring. At that point Wilder is either going to go for broke and try to take Joshua's head off or fetal up into a shell and let the refs step in. Based on his last showing I suspect it'll be the latter.

You think Wilder was concerned with the scorecard in the 2nd Ortiz fight ?

How did Wilder quit vs Fury in their 2nd fight? He was mad at his trainer for stopping the fight and even fired him after because of it

Wilder is many things but a quitter isn't one of them. He certainly wouldn't spit out his gumshield

Damage control. Of course he didn't want to have the narrative remain that way. You back into a corner and let your opponent just wail on you means you only want the fight to go one way. I don't blame him though. He was getting pummelled.

Yeah that’s generally the narrative from the Wilder fans. In reality Wilder most likely will be even more gun shy than he was against Parker and probably end up getting timed by the far superior boxer as soon as he opens up as he telegraphs that right hand so much even Stevie Wonder can see it coming.

Wilder just isn’t the fighter he was sold as, he looked great knocking over tomato cans but he’s been dealt with easy both times he’s faced legit challenges in Fury and Parker.
