Body shots Take the bounce out of his feet Once his rhythm goes he can't let his hands fly the way he does and his angles of attack disappear too. You can't bounce if your ribs are in agony and your internal organs feel like mince meat and you're struggling to take a full breath.
Move him to CW division. Him in 175 and 168 is unbeatable. Maybe boring in times, but unbeatable for another 3 years.
He is open to the body. He is not that good either. Basic euro fighter. Benavidez walks him down and breaks him up like Andrade. Amazing what some great body shots do.
Well if you want to know if he can be beaten let's try by testing him against the top fighter in his division, something he is yet to do.
Cool. Whatever he is, its basic he lacks power. Everyone over rated him because he schooled Canelo who is trash at 175. Bivol is straight up and down no variety in his offense just does the same thing over and over. He is good but nothing special.
Match Bivol up with Beterbiev,he will show how to beat him. Beterbiev will not respect him and will, walk him down to break him down using constant pressure to get the stoppage. Beterbiev has actively sought out the other Champions to be Undisputed and Bivol simply has not, both have been Champions since 2017 and the only reason this fight has not already happened is down to Bivol and Hearn, please don’t say the Ukraine war stopped it as they could have fought well before that started in Feb 2022 .
He's "basic" in the sense that he does the basics well and doesn't deviate from them. I see nothing wrong with that. His timing and sense of distance in particular is excellent, aided by his lead hand which always ensures he's in punching range and prevents opponents smothering his shots. Very good ring iq. Knows when to attack and when to hold fire. Solid if standard high guard. Stamina first rate. Good use of angles, punches off both hands, body shots including a nasty spearing jab to the body, nice fluid combinations when he lets them go. Not sure what else you want to see. Maybe some more head movement (though that wouldn't necessarily improve Bivol's overall game, and may detract from it). His power isn't lights out, true, but it's respectable enough for anyone in the division. Ward lacked power and it never stopped him imposing himself on every opponent he faced. When you punch as accurately and as often as Bivol you don't need to be flatlining everyone to get an effect.
