This ... I appreciate what the man accomplished, I just don't think he was this unbeatable behemoth like the "bigger is better" crowd crow, but Lord has there ever been a more boring champion in the history of the sport? That's completely subjective, of course, and YMMV.

If Wlad Klitschko is born January 1945 (a year after Joe Frazier) I don't think he wins the Olympics (Foreman wrecks him) but he could well rack up a low level destructive resume the way Foreman did and put himself in position for a title shot. It's not a title shot I expect him to succeed in though, I say Frazier smokes him.

On the flip side if Frazier is born March 1977 (one year after Wlad) I'm pretty confident he would do the job that Sanders did in Wlad and end his title run.

So I think either way Joe Frazier is winning this one.

Pre prime? Wlad was 24-0 almost 23 when he was knocked out by journeyman Ross Purity
He was 26 and 40 -0 when he was knocked out by Corrie Sanders in brutal fashion
He was 28 when he was knocked out by Lamon Brewster
There's no way he keeps Joe Frazier at bay..he couldn't survive Sanders
when did he ever beat a fighter as great as Frazier?

So how did lamon Brewster beat wlad?
You’re arguing that wlad will beat joe Frazier because he was too big for Alex leapai, a guy who got knocked out by Kevin Johnson. That is ridiculous. As ridiculous as me saying Joe Frazier will beat Wlad because he beat Joe bugner, a boxer with a longer reach than wlad. That went over your head, and you doubled down on your reasoning that wlad will beat Joe because he beat a far lesser fighter who happened to be similary sized.

There's plenty of available film to warrant considering it as a 'probability'.

I wouldn't put everything I own on any Boxing Match (or any type of fight, for that matter )

But I think most betting people would look at it from a 'too big, too strong' perspective - particularly with the Frazier/Foreman fights in mind and swing towards Wlad being the favorite. This would make Frazier a value-for-money bet, in my opinion.

This is primarily because I view the size-oriented argument as being partly flawed since, in this case, it doesn't incorporate Wlad's own weaknesses. These include: his poor reaction to pressure (which Frazier would apply) his poor punch resistance (Frazier was a hurtful enough puncher), his "I was poisoned" stamina issues, which become evident when pushed to fight every minute of every round (Frazier's style would test this aspect); his next to no short-range or inside game (where Frazier lives).

How effective does Wlad become then, when Frazier starts to apply force on these pressure points? Does he get his best shots off in this scenario?

And, as important as the above, is the lack of quality in Wlad's opposition. I wonder how easy it would be for Wlad to look good against a guy who actually shows some upper-body movement (and, in Frazier's case, pretty much non-stop movement) and doesn't just amble into Wlad's kill-zone, without intent (other than to perhaps glue their own feet to the canvas).

I think Frazier can make a fight of it, based on his ability to take Wlad out of his comfort-zone and a Wlad out of his comfort-zone is beatable. Sure, Wlad could land the haymakers that might start the beginning of the end, at any given moment, but I am always tentative about a reliance on such a possibility - especially when the opponent (Frazier) has a lot to offer in return.

It is a bit of a toss-up for mine but, all-in-all, I think Frazier is worth a good punt here (Just not everything I own :)).

In this matchup, size does matter. Wlad stops Frazier between 6-10. Frazier wil be walking in to too many of Wlads pole-axe jabs & atomic rights, as well as being clinched to death & leaned on all night.

Ok? Some fighters exit their prime in their early 20's, some don't enter until their 30's. Prime isn't just about age it's about the period when you're fighting is at its best, which for Wlad was after his loss to Brewster. 05 to 2012 ish.

Wlad vs Haye is probably the best exhibit of how Wlad looks against an opponent with some upper-body movement.

Also it's funny that you snarkily chastised me for not being bothered to take the time out to back up my arguments with evidence, I take the time out to do just that with video evidence no less, and then you ironcally can't be bothered to respond and ignore it completely

Another pro-Frazier poster just said Wlad loses to Frazier because he missed some punches at some point . You agree with them though so i'm sure you're not going to ask them to make a sound argument lol.

He took a godawful beating until Wlad gassed out and blew all his gaskets.
What's ridiculous to me is that you are unable to grasp that Wlad's entire game is based around his size with respect to shorter and smaller men. That's the key issue here and you are simply unable to grasp the point. Not my fault; I highlighted it extremely well. For what it's worth Brewster is significantly larger than Frazier and what's more, has a titanium chin compared to Frazier who almost met his maker fighting powder-puff punching Ali.

Wladimir was too terrified to fight Dereck Chisora so he had to get his big brother, Wlad is good against boxers, against fighters he gets KTFO

Seems completely obvious yet some folks are having a hard time grasping this.

From 2005-2014 his best wins were:
    Peter
    Byrd
    Rahman
    Haye
    Povetkin
    Pulev

Not exactly a murderers row compared to Joe Frazier

We grasp it, we simply don’t accept it. And this is getting to the point where we ought to all just agree to disagree and move on because nobody is going to change his mind on this.

My Toyota 86 would absolutely destroy a BMW M3 in a race. Facts. I'm 10-0 in traffic light races. I beat a VW Beetle, a Honda Jazz, A Renault Picasso, a van and a truck carrying chickens. The M3 is running in a weak era. I don't care what people are telling me. My quick reactions and lead foot off the line would see me triumph.
