Depends how quick you are and whether you can time it to prevent it looking like an obvious/deliberate foul...

Especially if he's expecting you to be relying on clinch and lean as a tactic - which I suspect is exactly what your "friend" (or should that be "love interest") has in mind.

Not very easy at all. And a fighter like Usyk Will be preparing for this also and has definitely watched the Cunningham fight. I think Usyk has some deceptive strength as well. Let’s just hope the ref stays on top of this stuff.

Very very difficult. He is either moving or punching or shaping to punch (feinting). I think trying to clinch him early is actually risky and could cost a fighter rounds. As it goes later, because he is old, I presume Usyk will start to struggle at a time it will be bad for him to start struggling with this, so like so much that's true about boxing, the key here for Fury will be patience. He has to be active early, commit to losing rounds I think, while maybe winning them with the pressure he brought against Wilder. Force Wilder to move a lot and punch a lot. Late, manhandle him and bash him.

Well I don't think Usyk swings that way so your mate is on a losing one there

Will be a lot easier after he gets punched in the body a few times.

Usyk will specifically be looking out for the clinch because its beyond obvious that its going to be Fury's go-to tactic. He may even bait it so that he has a gap to clobber him when Fury stretches his arms out like a zombie to grab him.

AJ & Dubious didn't clinch him once. Although the bought referee in the Dubious fight had a heart attack when they nearly got into a clinch. Mayweather Hatton level ready to jump in and break.

Hardly impossible, Chisora was able to grab hold of him plenty of times and Usyk's feet were quicker back then.

What I will say is that Usyk is actually decent at clinching, clever body positioning to push people off.

I disagree, That half clinch leaning over using his shoulder is going to get leant on by Fury. It's an interesting decent defence but only if the opponent is lazy and will give him a gap to escape. Seen Usyk get sloppy in clinches and during the break also expecting way too much from referees who are pretty useless most of the time. Protect yourself at all times.

Yeah I agree about Fury, he's gonna have a lot of success there cause he's so much taller and actually knows how to clinch, unlike most other heavyweights.

Usyk had success against Chisora with his body positioning because Chisora is just not a good clincher, watch him against guys like Parker and Pulev, loses the clinching battle most of the time.

Usyk clinching? Rarely. His opponents are used to clinch with him.

It’s not saying much of Fury, if he’s depending on clinching and mauling to win.
With world wide interest it will be an unedifying spectacle if “the real fighting man” has to resort to these tactics to beat such an undersized opponent!

Once you leave the amateur game you enter the fight game. A dirty harsh nasty sport that takes no prisoners. Which is why you can make billions of dollars there if you're game enough that is.
