Alex leapai is a journeyman. I’m sure you understand he’s in way comparable to Frazier right?

What's truly embarrassing is that you've just admitted you have absolutely zero objectivity about fighters who's fighting style you don't like, so much so that you think someone stating the truth is sort of smoking gun of admission

You say "you fully acknowledge it" like a judge that's interrogating a guilty party, as if anyone here ever denied it  So cringy. Why even bother taking part in fighter comparisons if you're so blatantly uninterested in ignoring your personal biases. The fact you think that you're not allowed to include anything dirty just shows how wrapped up in your biases you are. You DO have to include Holyfield headbutting as part of his match ups, obviously. How would you even evaluate a fighter like Andre Ward if you just completely ignored spoiling because you don't like it?

Speaking of which I'm not a Klitschko Stan you clown. Does Klitschko even have any stans lmao most of the people who are arguing for him in this thread have acknowledged that he's boring as ****. That's like accusing someone of being a Lawrence Okolie Stan.

What's funniest though is this comment.

"Unashamedly using foul tactics as a legitimate strategy is what Klit Stans are reduced to these days*.

What would you call George Foreman illegally shoving people? What would you call Ali constantly holding people's heads? What would you call Tyson elbowing and trying to break people's arms in the clinch? What would you call Holyfields headbutt? What would you call Lewis holding people's heads and uppercutting then? What would you call Liston's jabbing his thumb into people's eyes?

Why don't you stop being a HEAVYWEIGHT STAN and ADMIT that every single Heavyweight champion in history was a FOULING FRAUD. Wlad clearly learnt his behaviour from his predecesors, absolutely disgusting the lotta them. They'd all go 0 and a billion in fantasy matchups because illegal moves and fraudulent fouls obviously don't count :ibutt

Jesus. I'll be the first person admit I don't know much about boxing. The reason I lurk on this forum is to learn from other knowledgeable posters, but some of you guys really don't have a single clue.

Im a fan of Andre Ward. He was a highly skilled roughhouse fighter , not a spoiler. . He often took the fight in close and fought into the clinch and fought out of the clinch. He never avoided a fight in close. He looked for it
Every fighter since the turn of the century clinches in a fight.

    Clinching isnt what Wlad does.

His whole game is based on an arrangement he was with his personal ref that allows him to throw his weight all over his opponents back and he stays there untill his assistant jumps in and separates them, moving Wlad out of harms way. Rinse and repeat
    ad nauseam.
When this strategy , which is prepared for in camp , doesn't works and isn't allowed by a fair ref , then his whole world crumbles.
Thats what happened to him against Brewster. And everybody saw how Fury wasn't allowed to inside box in Germany
Fury size and skill was able to overcome those illegal setbacks. Remove that ref and Fury runs through Wlad.
This is the reality about the hero you worship. Massively overrated cheater who uppercuted himself in the face against C level Jennings.

    Uh huh.

Also idk why you're replying to me saying "clinching isn't just what he does" and then showing me a picture of exactly what I already told you he does, as if you've exposed me

Me - Klitschko jams his elbow into the back of people's necks and sits on them.

You - LOOK, I CAUGHT YOU RED HANDED YOU KLITSCHKO HERO WORSHIPPER STAN, KLITSCHKO JAMMING HIS ELBOW INTO THE BACK OF SOMEONE'S NECK AND SITTING ON THEM, WHAT'S YOUR EXCUSE NOW :ibutt?

    Good lord you're slow :duh

    The best exhibit lol ^
Better than Douglas vs Tyson? Marciano vs Walcott? Foreman vs Frazier? Bowe vs Holyfield?

You are a simp for Klitschko. What was so great about Wlad land 2 or 3 right hands and ZERO left hooks on David Haye? He could barely hit him clean . Haye outlanded him on the power punch compu box sheet. The signs of Wlad unable to hit Fury were all there vs Daivd Haye.
It also proves he'd fail miserably to land clean on Frazer , one of ,if not the best upper body mover in HW history. Haye not even top 30 best upper body movers

Learn how to read, then get back to me.

I said WLAD vs Haye is probably the best exhibit of how WLAD looked against an opponent with upper body movement, not of how any boxer ever looks against any opponent with upper body movement you idiot :roflmao:

I refuse to believe anyone is genuinely so stupid or intellectually dishonest to get blown the **** out this badly in an argument every single time they reply, so I assume that you're a troll at this point. You got me, I took the bait.

You think Marciano vs Walcott is a better example of how Wlad looks against fighters with good upper body movement, than Wlad vs Haye?

Anyone that's a sub 190lber is disqualified immediately. Acting like Patterson or Marciano wouldn't be cruiserweights or even light heavies today is really weird.

Besides that though, I don't think there's a popular heavyweight that COULDN'T hang with fighters of today. Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Joe Louis, Larry Holmes, etc. Like I said I actually don't know all that much about boxing so I'm probably missing a lot of names but I don't think there's any commonly tossed around old school heavyweight name in this forum that can't get some W's over post 80's fighters. Top 10 ranked, champions, whatever.

I think Joe Frazier could very much beat Vitali for instance, which funnily enough is probably going to be considered the hot take here but I don't think so at all haha. I'm more confident in Frazier beating Vitali than him beating Wlad. Is thinking that Wlad beats Frazier so outlandish that you assume I'm some sort of "old school boxers are garbage trash" luddite :crybaby2:?

I made a comment awhile back about how the unique development of boxing historically means that in terms of technical abilities and skills, the difference between old boxers and modern boxers is tiny if not non-existent compared to old and modern track and field athletes, or old and modern basketballers, or old and modern MMA fighters, etc.

I also think Frazier would be the favourite against Wilder and Joyce amongst others.

Rest assured i'd be screaming for Frazier all the way. I just can't favor him personally even if i don't count him out....for many of the reasons you've touched on.

I wouldn't be underating the power of Povetkin and he's taller and notably heavier than Joe and fights much more upright. He also wasn't be chugging forward relentlessly as Frazier, who only fights one way, does. When did Hagler go balls to the wall pre Hearns? It can happen.

Wlad improved a lot post Peter and introduced a helluva lot less panic among other things. It took a while for Steward and Klit to come to fruition but come to fruition they did. It's worth bearing in mind Peter is 40 pounds heavier than Joe among other things with a helluva chin on him.

All good, not a problem at all.

Excepting Foreman he fought some harder punchers than Frazier did i'd bet. He fought plenty that hit a lot harder than Eddie Machen that's for sure.

The thing is tho it's not Wlad facing the puncher in this one, it's Frazier. Wlad is a bonafide puncher, Frazier got some good whoopee in that left hook but he's not a bonafide puncher.

If the ref is lenient to Wlad's negativity Frazier wouldn't have much chance for mine. His dimensions and practise at tying up would see Joe rendered pretty ineffective and he'd likely get worn down at best. Wlad won't exactly tire leaning on a guy of Fraziers size all night.

With a solid ref breaking them and issuing warnings about excessive clinching the bout becomes more open.

Ali and Johnson were big time clinchers as well. Take away clinching and their careers would have looked much worse than they had.

Nah. He was trying to blast Brewster out of there to make a point. There's a reason why Wlad's output dropped by choice under Steward. Besides, it's academic. If Frazier took half of the punishment Brewster did, he'd wake up on a stretcher.
Bugner and Wlad are simply not the same fighters, no matter how many times people want to compare Bugner to Wlad. You may want to go hang out with that absurd Dinovelvet who routinely comes to similar conclusions.
    3 inches taller.
Frazier got his **** pushed in by Floyd Cummings. Surely you aren't suggesting that he could beat Wlad?

LOL!!! :D Basically what we’re witnessing here!

I love the “Frazier body attack would crumble Wlad!” talk.:lol: Yes because Wladimir Klitschko was CRUMBLED so many times by body attacks! He took a bunch of 240lb Sam Peters body shots for 12 rounds and still moved around like a ballerina. But SMOKIN JOE Will somehow destroy Wladimir’s Brick shithouse torso

And Wladimir couldn’t just snipe Frazier with that ATG jab and 1-2’s with his 83 inch reach could he! Joe was somehow more elusive and harder to hit than Prime Byrd. And Wlad’s atomic power for some reason seems to have little to no effect on these ‘Golden Era’ Heavyweights!

    :lol::lol:

    Wlad by stoppage within 5

I never said anything povetkin’s power.
every time povetkin closed the distance, Wlad never exchange with him as you claimed he would against Frazier, he always initiated a clinch and waited for the ref to break it up.
“It can happen” isn’t very convincing. If wlad never shown the ability to fight inside, why should we assume he would?
Much of the improvement is long range fighting and never exchanging. Which still leaves him with his weakness to pressure and infighting.
His weight and height is about the only thing he has over Frazier. Peter’s best win was a robbery over a 38 year old James tony.
    glad we cleared the misunderstanding.
Who are they. How did wlad react their shots?
wlad also punched harder than all the people who knocked him out. Frazier probably hit harder ross puritty, Corrie sanders, or lamon Brewster.
unless the fight is in Germany or Russia I doubt. His performance against povetkin would get him disqualified in most other places.
leaning on Frazier won’t stop him from body punching.
