That sounds like someone who's concussed, not quitting.

You think Wilder wanted to be in there with Fury once he started getting pieced up? He was wide-eyed terrified, constantly backing up and making no attempt to fight back, hence his corner throwing in the towel once they saw him fetal up against the ropes in the seventh. So yeah he's a quitter by those metrics.

But kudos to both fighters for getting back into the fire to face the man that beat them. A pity Wilder failed in his endeavour.

Watch fight 2 and 3 again. Wilder tried to fight back numerous times he was just outclassed. Outclassed is different from quitting. How the hell does Wilder quit when his corner was the one that threw in the towel after several rounds of beatings. How did he quit when he verbatim fired his own trainer/corner for throwing in the towel. How did he quit when he str8 slugged it out with Fury until the bitter end.

That's the exact opposite of quit. Wheres the logic. His team saved Wilder from himself.
And he responded to the ref just fine each time he went down until the eventual KO in fight 3 instead of looking away

Do you even truly believe Wilder quit ? Or are you trying to suggest so because aj is labeled a such ? Seems like the latter tbh

I don't need to watch fight 3 again. I'm talking about fight 2 where he quit. Fight 3 he went out on his shield, zero complaints about that one.

Did you see the part in the Ruiz Joshua 1 fight where Joshua kept getting up and trying to work his way back into the fight even though he was totally ****ed up and getting dropped by everything Ruiz threw at him? That's a pretty weird way to quit, and quite inefficient I'd think if you were trying to save braincells.

You can do anything after the fact. Joshua could have sued Michael Griffin for waving him off after he claimed multiple times he was good to go. Wilder or his fans could have claimed he was still slugging it out with Fury until the bitter end when the video shows no such thing.

Might the ref have been saving Joshua from himself as well? Ever thought of that?

I think fighters quit when they say "I quit" or otherwise indicate to the ref or their corner that they no longer want to continue. Staying down when they're perfectly capable of getting up also counts, but that can be harder to gauge.

Getting beaten up in one sided contests till the ref or your corner step in isn't quitting, as I'm sure you'll now agree.

Yeah and then he went back into his corner and looked away lol. He didn't quit after the first knockdown it was a process. He didn't get stopped in the middle of hands being thrown. He spit his gumshield out, looked anxious and looked away when the ref was asking for a response. And then the rematch.....
But he didn't. Wilder got stopped by his corner, and complained for the stoppage, eventually firing his corner. If you want to deny this, we can analyze which fighter was actually ready to go out on their shield by looking at their respective rematch afterwards. What did Wilder do ? He dogfought Fury most of the fight and dropped him twice, even if he eventually got KO'd. What did aj do in his rematch with Ruiz ? Do I even have to mention it
From himself ? aj didn't want to be there in the first place

Fury has been dropped by a boxing debutant. He’s as much smoke and mirrors as Wilder was.

Hahaha this is ridiculous. You clearly don’t like AJ so he quit but you like Wilder so he didn’t quit.

You are being showed up here

    Stop

Spitting gumshields has been a part of boxing forever but only when AJ does it does it mark the sign of a quitter

    Complete bollocks

Then it's clear you lack reading comprehension. Spitting out his gumshield wasn't the deciding factor but that, him looking away from the ref and everything in between as i stated. Its why i didnt call Corrales a quitter for obvious reasons. The rematch should show you

No, it's clear you just jumped on a bandwagon on here and lack any objectivity

I remember you first signing up and defending AJ tons

If that were truly the case I'd be back to supporting aj right now based on recent events. But I don't.

I don't because he's overrated, his fansgirls constantly shove his mythological overinflated record in everyones face, ignoring his losses and bad performances, he's a mental midget, lacks the will to get dragged into a dogfight, and him embarrassing himself with his disrespectful autistic speech in the Usyk rematch was the last straw. He's a low iq stiff who will lose again.

Fury is pretty good but his power got exposed v Francis who didn`t respect his punch and walked through him.
