Two interesting matchups to compare two different generations. Groves vs Plant prime for prime and Froch vs Benavidez. You do have the option to pick Froch and Benavidez or Groves and Plant but that goes against the spirit of the thread. I'd like to see if this style of poll can work.
Froch over Benavidez...dont know enough about Groves and Plant to make confident pick Yes, Benavidez looks strong but he hasnt looked nearly as strong as Froch against top competition. Froch beat Groves x 2, Pascal (undefeated), Bute (undefeated), Glen Johnson, Jermain Taylor, Arthur Abraham (undefeated), Andre Dirrell (undefeated), and Kessler. And every single one of those opponents had deep respect for Frochs power and strength (theyre different traits). Benavidez looks the goods but needs to prove it against quality comp

Groves isnt as slick as Plant, he just hits twice as hard and is stronger. it will actually be a decent fight as plant is decent, but Groves has way more firepower.
Results are about as expected around here hilarious. Plant would clean sweep Groves just way too fast and slick. Benavidez would batter and stop Froch who would be target practice for him. Benavidez is literally better in every way. He struggled to beat a 42 year old Glenn Johnson but he beats Benavidez lol.
Groves is suddenly a power puncher? What? he was knocked out 3 times but he is stronger than Plant also?
So is Plant. I don't see any evidence that Groves was a bigger puncher than Plant let alone twice as big. Plant has sharper pop. Groves would struggle to land on him all night.
Groves lost every time he stepped up, who was his best win? Did he ever beat a single legit world class fighter?
Benavidez needs hia chin checked, his best wins against a decent slick but non powerful Plant and a bulked up middleweight who beat absolutely no one, and ducked everyone. But Tarrant think Bemavidez has a better resume than Carl Froch. I think Tarrant is a complete imbecile.
