He could be the same size and 10lbs heavier and he'd still duck Haney.

Tank's just not interested in fighting anyone with that level of skill.

(And I'm not a massive Haney fan - I'm curious what he'd do against guys his own size/weight and whether his lack of power would cause problems at that point).

It sure will, a shot Linares had him on wobbly legs for whole rounds after he got saved by the bell & had him giving running bear hugs while the ref decided to apply London Prizefighting rules from the 1800's

If he fights & beats Lopez & Matias (who will still be undersized compared to him) even in boring stinkers, I will eat my words. Regis was a careful pick considering that he looked sh*t in his last fight against a no name

I think Davis, even being much smaller than Haney, would knock him out. Haney was 165lbs+ , with extra time to hydrate, against light punching old 130lber Loma, yet was getting rocked.

Haney has literally never fought a single world champion close to his size

The closest would be career 140 Rougarou who is a big 140 who really struggles to make weight and Haney still weighed 9lbs more than him in his first fight at the weight

And he weighed at least 20lbs more than Loma and he was much heavier than Linares, Gamboa, and career 135 Kambosos and all bar two of those fighters were old and shot to bits or old and well past their prime sans Rougarou and Kambosos, neither of whom can deal with boxers to save their lives, even ones their size, as evidenced by Kambosos winning SDs over old well past prime extremely inactive Mickey Bey (Haney's former assistant trainer) and past prime career 126 Lee Selby and a MD against Maxi Hughes who no one thinks he even deserved a draw against

And Rougarou went life and death against a rangy boxer dollar store Haney in his previous fight, including getting dropped by a very similar shot to the one Haney dropped him with, and arguably losing the fight. It was a damn perfect stylistic match up for Haney as was Kambosos. Hence why he shamelessly ducked the rematch against the tiny in comparison to him old man Loma despite the vast majority of observers had Loma winning and the fight would be in Haney's country against with a stacked deck of a US ref and three home judges.

So this how would Haney do against opponents his own size is still purely hypothetical even though he's a two weight champ.

He hasn't fought anyone remotely close to his size for goodness sake

If he was the same size as Twink he would get knocked out

For his second weight class. His first fight at that weight

The Twink fans are all over social media accusing Haney of being weight bully and saying there has got to be a rehydration clause if they fight each other or it's not remotely fair. Not a single peep out of any of them about any of that when Haney weighed 20lbs + more than Loma and Twink weighs a whole division more than Loma with a 2'' longer reach

Wake me up when Haney fights someone his size. It won't even be close to happening until he moves up to 147

He's a coward who will be able to make 140 till he hits 30 and will continue calling out 135 pounders because the 140 division is pretty dead. He's lucky he isn't fighting during the Khan/Bradley/Maidana era at 140. None of them guys called out 135 pounders, that only started happening when Broner another ugly weight bully came around. He will only fight at 147 if there is an easy picking he knows he can beat.

Atleast Canelo was eventually dumb enough to think he could take on someone like Bivol.

Menawhile you got Usyk who although is a big cruiserweight is still a cruiserweight now handling all the heavyweights with great risk everytime he fights them.

Yes. Thing is Clenelo never looks like The Walking Dead on crack at weigh ins. In fact, even the likes of Zurdo doesn't and he's a massive weight bully.

How the hell can you have fighters ranked in the P4P top 10 who have literally never fought a single world champion close to their size? That should be the bare minimum requirement for warranting a spot on there. P4P does not mean beating up opponents you're way bigger, longer and heavier than

Davis whoops Haney’s ass as they are right now

I don’t even want to think about what would happen if they were the same size

I'm not convinced tank beats haney. I think haney out boxes him. Could always be caught and hurt but I'm leaning toward haney

Haney is far more proven than Wahid. He fought the best two LWs in the world back to back then moved up and took on a top 5 LWW.

Wahid has never fought at that level.

You right about that. Haney will most definitely out box him, plus Haney is smart.

Tank maxes out at 147. Haney is the bigger guy. He'll end up at middleweight.

Catchweight at 148? Haney is a size advantage guy. If he doesn't have the size advantage, he won't sign the fight.
