Inoue against featherweights

    So rhe monster for me is an outstanding fighter. Great range, fast, powerful with every shot, underrated jab..
    So how do you all think he does at featherweight?
    He doesn't beat any of the greats at feather or brilliant solid featherweight.
    But I don't think we have a mental lost of feathers right now. So what happens against vargas, Warrington and those sorts cause I have to favour him.
    Does he beat Lopez? Cause i favour Lopez to top him in a great fight

    The 2 I see giving him the most problems are Otabek Kholmatov (who I am expecting to stop Ford easily & win the belt) & Espinoza

    I would still pick Inoue but both are big & will rehydrate well above 140 come fight time, so Inoue might be giving up 7-10 lbs along with reach & height. Both also pack power & I am still not sure how well Inoue can carry up his power, if he can then he will be in good stead because there are no defensive wizards up there

    i'm a fan of inoue, but i think 126 pounds might be too much for him.

    rafael espinosa
    these guys would give inoue trouble.

    Wood moved up to 130, Figueroa gets hit too much IMO & is a KO waiting to happen. Now Espinoza with his volume, height, power, & reach can give Inoue something to think about

    Yes u didn't mention wood because he has to move up and I actually sont think he would be effe ti e at 126 anymore

    Hes gonna punch harder at 126lbs and he wont lose speed.

    This 6'1 74inch reach featherweight Abomination will get his torso rearranged.

    I think he'll become the first 3 weight undisputed champion in the 4 belt modern era.

    It won't be as easy as 118 and 122 they'll all be significantly bigger than him but he has the power to not only bang with them but over power them and has the speed and the boxing skills to win on points even if he can't over power them.

    He def beats Lopez and soundly. It’s the kid who beat Robeisy that will be a tough tough fight for him.

    Figueroa and Espinoza yes. Leigh’s style won’t trouble Inoue. He’d wipe the floor with him.

    Depends who the champions are at the time. Inoue came in at 135 for Tapales. From what I've seen 126 pounders these days come in around that or about 138 but if one of the champs is gigantic weight bully who is rehydrating a ton of weight it can get tricky

    I think Otabek & Espinoza should be rehydrating above 140, latter is 6'1 & former looked quiet big as well. I don't think they surpass Haney so I am assuming they can rehydrate to 147 max

    I think Jamie McDonnell is the only one who surpassed Haney because iirc he came in at 144 against Inoue on fight day & looked drained

    But at least since most if not all of these fights might be in Japan (Kholmatov could be in Saudi) & Inoue is the one brining the money, I am sure his team will ensure that weigh in will be the standard 24 hours not 36 like it happened in Loma vs Haney

    I actually checked out a bit of Otabek yesterday. I'd seen a brief bit of footage before but I checked out a little bit more and the first things I noticed were 1. he looks really good and 2. he looks big for the weight.

    You see fighters campaigning in divisions and you immediately think to yourself they look like fighters from a couple of divisions above.

    The weight and sound of the shots sound like that of a hard punching 147 pounder not a 135 pounder

    That being said, the sound of Inoue's punches is the first thing I noticed when I watched him for the first time

    This was his fight against Thomas Ward & the size difference between the 2 was noticeable to me

    Interestingly he fought the Japanese prospect Tsutsumi Hayato in the amateur's & Tsutsumi won

    Yeah the Ward fight was the one I had seen a bit of footage from before. I might even have watched some of it live but sometimes I'm not really paying attention when I'm watching fights if it's fighters I'm not familiar with.

    Thing is there's a decent chance he and Inoue might never even face each other because by the time Inoue moves up he might already have moved up to 130 given his size

    So he's already failed at Japanese level lol
