Joe "Juggernaut" Joyce The nickname is unique. And I like it. I don't judge a boxer who wears that nickname, how good a boxer he is. I also don't judge if that nickname fits the boxer. I only appreciate the nickname. And in case: Gerald "Juggernaut" Washington OR Artur "Juggernaut" Szpilka I would like a nickname.
@ikrasevic There have been some great nicknames added to the thread so I did bump and add a few to my top #20 -#50. To be fair I kept my top #11 through #20 from my original list. 11. Ghost - Kelly Pavlik 12. Blade - Iran Barkley 13. Raging Bull - Jake LaMotta 14. Desert Storm - Timothy Bradley 15. Alien - Bernard Hopkins 16. Easton Assassin - Larry Holmes 17. Blood - Mitch Green 18. Lights out - James Toney 19. Bonecrusher - James Smith 20. Scrap Iron - George Johnson
Alexander "Experiment" Karelin I know he's not a boxer. And I apologize for that. It's just that the nickname is so good for me, and I'm so impressed with it.
Dariusz "Tiger" Michalczewski I have always preferred tigers to lions; in every sense. Also, the nickname "tiger" is much less common than the nickname "lion" among boxers.
I don’t think I mentioned this before but - whatever one thinks of Jake Paul I do like the nick “The Problem Child”. Perhaps he needs to be put on Ritalin.
“Rootin Tootin”? Lol. Scary to think what type of boxing style he’s gonna bring to justify the nickname.
"Rootin Tootin" reminds me of a saying I once heard - Beans beans the magical fruit the more you eat the more you toot, the more you toot the better you feel so eats your beans with every meal. It would be funny if this was Newtons walk out song. lol
I've heard Frank Newton's name kicked around a few times over the years, but have never seen him fight. Was always amused by that nickname though. A few others: Tom "The Bomb" Collins Tyrone "The Harlem Butcher" Jackson Andre "The Matrix" Dirrell Richard "Hard Face" Mason Adam "The Swamp Donkey" Richards
Swamp donkey! lol! I had to look this guy up to put a face to the name and it turns out ole' Swamp Donkey co holds with Mike Tyson the record of winning two consecutive Junior Olympic heavyweight titles by knocking out every opponent. He has an in depth Olympic Pedigree and a decent pro record 23w 3l. Swamp Donkey is still a highly questionable nickname but with that a side shout out to Adam Richards.
Actually, Frank Newton wasn’t a bad little lightweight. The fight I always remember was his 10 rounder with Charlie ‘White Lightning’ Brown, which was televised. Brown was being groomed for a title shot and IMO, Newton was robbed blind. Of course Brown got the title shot.
Always liked the "Scrap Iron" nickname quite a bit. A couple more that come to mind: Bruce "The Mouse" Strauss Keith "Sir Jabalot" McMurray
