Joshua is running for money, that's too obvious, Parker after his victory against Wilder expects a bigger name than Hrgovic, Anderson is too young and probably won't take any risks. Sanchez is the most logical opponent considering that he also wants a big opportunity.
There is no way Joshua doesn't fight Hrgovic for the IBF when it goes vacant, that fight will be on the March card 100% unless there's an injury.
Hrgovic's entire career has been terribly mismanaged. He has good skills, a iron chin, and hits hard but he hasn't progressed much if at all as a pro due to his level of competition and being poorly managed. Coming from a small country with no real pro scene over there and a real lack of sparring partners his size has hindered him. Hence why he's had to travel to get good work and I think a top S&C coach. And I think hooking up with the right trainer would have done wonders for him and still might. If he had AJ's backing, training team and set up I think he would be a lot better. A trainer like Shane McGuigan or even Ben Davison would be able to get the best out of him IMO.
You know I agree with almost everything you say, but the one caveat I will add to this one is that even when Hrgovic gets the change to progress, he doesn't. Sometimes he regresses. I have said it a a couple dozen times already, but he just kind of reminds me of Michael Moorer in that he gets that look in his eyes like he's rather be doing something else.
Personally I would like to see Joshua fight Zhang, it is an interesting match up and Zhang surely doesnt have too much left in his locker, although he hasnt taken much punishment throughout his career. However, I expect Joshua to fight Hrgovic for the IBF belt. My prediction for Joshua V Hrgovic is a comfortable and somewhat boring points win for Joshua.
Sanchez turned IBF order to fight Hrgovic 2 times in a row. Hrgovic also called him out after Day of Reckoning, saying he needs something light for dinner, like Frank Sanchez.
What is in it for either fighter? Yeah it’s a fun matchup and may well happen down the line but it’s not happening next, not sure what gives you the impression it was? Will be AJ vs Hrgovic next in March (Hearn has more or less confirmed it) and if I was to bet Sanchez will either go back to fighting another can or even better fight Kabayel in Saudi or Wilder on PBC There you go
But the title won't go vacant in March, this is the deal. They will surely strip Usyk/Fury, but it won't be in March. And that fight has to be book, promoted, etc, etc. Hrgovic may very well not want to fight AJ if the fight is not for the title, and he will 100% be right. Hrgovic - AJ 100% will happen, and the OP has to eat his own words, but it won't happen in March in my opinion.
Hrgovic is a good HWs but he clearly lost with Zhang who hasnt the speed of hands of Sanchez. Question mark.
