Out of interest - does Wilder have a rematch clause against Parker?

I have not seen anything that says he does, nor I havent seen anyone mention it but you know how boxing works. Matchroom is referred to as "Rematchroom" for a reason.

If there is a rematch clause, I hope Wilder doesn't take it as we will see the same outcome as the first fight and he should retire IMO rather than continue to take punishment.

Wilder was meant to fight Joshua next so a rematch clause would have gotten in the way of that so likely wasn't included.

Also why would anyone including the fighters involved want a rematch, Parker showed he was on a different level.

I'm glad to hear there is no rematch clause involved. Would be a very similar outcome.

Joshua had rematch clause if he were to lose to Otto Wallin, Wallin confirmed that.

Styles make fights and I think J.P is simply just all wrong for Wilder. Parker has been boxing since his childhood like T.Fury Wilder has done extremely well considering he started in his twenties. Like Joshua this is the reason why I'd still like to see Joshua-Wilder if the Zhang fight cannot be made. If Eddie puts Joshua in with someone else it's clear ducking imho.

If that's the case then maybe they did have a rematch clause, you'd assume both sides would want to protect a future fight between them. But then maybe it was just Joshua because well that what he always does.

If Wilder didn't have a rematch clause he must have been very confident of victory and if they did then clearly he has no interest in activating it.

Yeah but AJ is bigger name, Wallin knew what he was going into, he sacrificed his shot at the belt, but Eddie payed him well above what he could have gotten even if he became champ after beating Hrgovic.

Yes it is one sided remach clause, I think Boxingnews247 covered that. Joshua is well protected fighter. Wilder could rebuild, Joshua not so much.

I doubt Parker would agree on one sided rematch clause, but bothsided one wouldnt benefit anyone. Its good they didnt have it.

It wasn't styles it was just Wilder not being mentally prepared after 2 years out of the ring. The Wilder from 2018-2021 would have murdered Parker.

Inactivity certainly was a factor but I doubt he would have murdered Parker, he would have had a very difficult night in which I could see him having to dig very deep. Wilder between 2018-2021 was at his best, I still think he’s been quite overrated.

Wilder should retire before he hits every branch on the tree while falling out of it. Guy could never box, always had deer legs and was getting tagged by 40 year old bums who knew to lie down as soon as the first solid shot rang out.
