Why is Fury so personal with Usyk?

Fury fears him. He knows he’s not on the same class as Usyk as a boxer, which is why he has delayed the match for so long.

He’s been doing it for a long time - invoking terms such as ugly, midget, effeminate, etc.

Not always the reason but it can often be in reaction to the opponent who poses the greatest threat.

We can compare Fury to Fury himself and observe that he while might talk smack to and of other fighters, his attacks on Usyk are that much more nasty and unhinged.

I don’t necessarily buy that it’s all promotion and for ticket sales.

Imo, Ali was guilty of same relative to Frazier, and transparently so.

Even when their ATG reputations and intense rivalry already well preceded them and guaranteed the gate, Ali still went on about and at Joe well above and beyond the duty of promotion.

Just plain nasty for its own sake and reflective of Ali’s awareness of the threat that Joe posed to him.

It didn’t mean that Ali necessarily feared Joe or didn’t think in his heart of hearts that he could beat Joe - but he knew Frazier would take him to the absolute limits of his resources - like no other opponent could.

Because he's genuinely threatened by Usyk and he's hyping himself up. Fury up until Usyk I really believe he thought no one could beat him. I think he's concerned with Usyk (he should be, especially if he's on the decline)

As many ppl above write- Fury is nervous because he know that Usyk can win with him.

This little Ukrainian man do what he was afraid for soo long- beat Joshua in 2 fights.

Fury understand that this fight can cost him his historical place which he build for long time in his own way.

Usyk its not Wilder. Its not one big right hand again and again. He will face brilliant technic, quicker dude with great punch resistans and stamina of horse.
    He know that very dangerous.

And Fury is nervous because last performance and his opponents performance too looks now much worse.

Usyk is not unpredictable at all. He's just fundamentally extremely sound and uses his feet properly which is always a problem for anyone.

I don't think Fury is scared, neither any of the top guys. He obviously have people around him, and he as well knows though who posses a real danger of beating him.

They though they see a weakness in that Dubois fight, and that is the only reason Fury took the fight. He was clearly trying to age Usyk out and check the water with his bodyguard Dubois.

Still i don't think any of the mind games, and antics have any effects on Usyk or actually to anyone who is a top fighter.
Even if you make the guy angry, doesn't matter. At the end of the day, it's about gameplan, how well you can follow the gameplan, and above all else > your skills.

I have said this already though Fury only hope is blatant corruption. Aka the ref to get him get away with a murder in the ring, and hell even that may not help him. He is going to get absolutely destroyed. There is level to this game, and he ain't in Usyk league.

That's just regular Fury trying to promote the fight. One thing to mention, though, is that this time he seems to lack ideas. I don't think even a toddler would be bothered when called an 'ugly rabbit'.

Fight is too late, Fury's talk seems desperate. I will be surprised if Fury wins. This fight will flop regardless and probably be a stinker. That's why Fury needs to talk. At this point, if it isn't direct from a Saudi wire transfer, he can't make money for ****.

Levels to this game & after Fury batters Usyk you can accept your bodybuilder bum boyfriend ain't on any level. Stiff as a board. Dumb as a rock. Soft as a tangerine.
