I suspect all the nuance of feints and head movement from both fighters will be made null and void relatively quickly in the fight. A lot of that passive head movement Usyk uses to get in range, draw and somewhat as a feint will either be timed or ignored by Fury, especially the way Usyk loves leaning to his right with his head. If Fury is able to set his jab up out of the gate which is the go to for any boxer then right away Usyk needs to make a BIG adjustment. Lucky for him Fury's jab has not been present at the level it should be for nearly 3 years. Fundamentally this fight is won for Usyk with his footspeed & placement. Fundamentally this fight would have been won for Fury with his jab but as I stated, I don't think he can rely on that exclusively to win this fight and it will force a tactics change early but we'll see.
You forget Usyk mocked Joshuas jab twice and that AJs jab is good and powerful. It's Fury that gotta take care of Usyks jab.
AJ is a big plodding bum. Fury mocked Wlad's jab which many consider GOAT'd, which it's not. 6'8" 260 pound man throwing a triple jab pivoting off laterally. Hell naw! ain't no messing with that. If Usyk comes up and under Fury's lead, then Fury is taking his pants off wrapping them around Usyk's head and superplexing him into the canvas. Fury ain't messing around.
Fury of Wlad no longer exists. As to Joshuas jab you are wrong. Its a good weapon to make enter his right hand. Accurate and powerful.
I know but like Ali before him he will find a way to win. I wish it was simply just bodyshots but even Fury knows he needs all his keys to unlock Usyk.
Because with Ngannou he lost. Two KDs for Ngannou and almost the same percentage of blows that hit the target. Fury of Schwarz would have dodged much more blows by Ngannou. Fury is done...or almost.
Fury has been "personal" with loads of opponents. Nothing new. Just a story created by the boxing gutter press looking for a narrative to run with.
This. Fury is one of those guys that blows himself up if he's shitting himself for somebody. He tried his games on Usyk and Usyk didn't give an inch. I think he tried to intimidate him that one time by hugging him to make him feel the size. When Usyk picked him up he felt that cold chill in his balls. I think acting the blowhard does intimidate some people but I think it makes guys like Usyk double down on their preparation and determination. Remember McGregor with Nurmagomedov? Khabib kept it for the ring, and he delivered the whoopass. I think Usyk is like that. He looks like a fun guy but a serious dude if you cross the line.
