Anderson has very good skills, hits hard and show a lot of promise but Bakole is a huge guy, hits really hard, has fast hands, looks like he has a long reach, puts his shots together really well and has great punch variety, and he has a reputation for stopping very durable fighters who don't or rarely get stopped. Once those really heavy combinations of his start landing he's an absolutely horrible opponent to be standing in the opposite corner to. I think he'd knock Martin out in 5 rounds absolute max and I think he stops Anderson too. For some strange reason, maybe because he's not ripped with muscle, people seem to underestimate or don't realize how big he is. He's an absolute mountain of a man at 6'6'' and 280lbs these days and when you're that big and heavy and can punch your weight with fast hands and skills to boot it's a problem.
Bakole can break him down and stop him. Anderson is the goods but no matter how tough and game you are which I'm sure he is these big dudes will still break you. 24 years old. Still a lot to learn. Still mature size to be added. Needs to keep learning and shouldn't be going near these big men
Anderson knocks him down at some point, Bakole has proven himself to be tough but still overrated, Anderson is somehow better and in better physical shape...
Anderson might have a better chance than Bakole, because Bakole is kind of a mess, but Anderson was talking about his impending retirement at 27 before he ever fought anyone. He kind of reminds me of Raul Marquez. When Oscar and Marquez both turned pro after the 1992 Olympics, Oscar got a $1 million signing bonus. And Marquez made the off-hand comment that if he got $1 million like Oscar did, he'd break his hand so he didn't have to fight anymore. And red flags went up all over the place, as in this guy maybe doesn't have the heart for this. Granted, Marquez ended up having a good career and picked up a vacant belt once (which Anderson might do). But people backed way off from Marquez after that. Anderson seems like a guy who enjoys the attention of being a pro athlete, but he's already looking for the next thing (maybe broadcasting, like Marquez). The guys who are already looking to get out of boxing before they even fight someone or win anything don't tend to win much.
Y'all use words you shouldn't. He would've lost if he got "exposed". He won...........clearly. Anthony Joshua got exposed by Fat Andy. Anderson didn't get exposed, he had a hard won fight. Original question: I think at this point Bakole beats Anderson. I don't think Anderson is developing properly.
Andy Ruiz is a top boxer, a dangerous one with plenty of pedigree. A banana skin for any top heavyweight of the current era. A legitimate contender compared to Charles Martin. Anyways, they fought at different stages of their careers AJ/ Ruiz and Anderson/ Martin. Point is, on his ascension in pro boxing never was AJ troubled in such a manner that early on. Anderson was hurt several times across multiple rounds. He narrowly survived a KO loss, regardless of score cards. I use the word exposed as Anderson is hyped as the new era/new gen/ next big thing. And slipped up so early on.
Reckon Anderson edges him to a decision but Bakole can get the stoppage especially if the fight becomes a shoot out like the Charles Martin bout which is likely.
Agreed, Anderson currently nowhere near that level to beat Parker, give him a good fight for sure but Anderson might find himself beaten to the punch for the first time and once he's backed up I suspect his game falls apart. Bakole would be a tougher fight style wise, force Parker onto the back foot where he's less effective but in the end I can't see Bakole doing enough to stop him or earn a decision.
