Why is Fury so personal with Usyk?

Not unlike AJ against Wallin, Fury needs to be zoned in for this fight and stay that way until the bell rings. His way to win is by big manning Usyk so he needs to feel that way from here on in.

 

You imagine what would happen to usyk if he would try to clinch ngannou like fury did and how impressed ngannou would be of usyk,s punching power ?

 

Fury's been notably quiet since the Ngannou fight

This means work is being done

He's sandbagged for almost two years now imo; we will see the truth in the ring either way

The Ukrainian winds him up because he watched Fury bamboozle and strip the confidence from Vlad before that fight back in the day and Fury knows that these tactics won't work on Usyk. In many ways Fury is now in the position he derided Vlad for in the build up to their fight when he said something like

" a good young man always beats a good old man"

And I think he knows it and is made uncomfortable by that fact

 

Fury is threatened by the risk and kind of forced into this matchup in the first place. He is mentally unsettled.

I think if he has any self awareness he'll know that his Whyte, Chisora and Ngannou bouts were woeful. Ngannou being the icing on a lacklustre cake.

Where as Usyks recent AJ and Dubois bouts have looked good and competitive, with Usyk looking committed and in form.

Fury now has to back up his loudmouth with actions. At the moment he's just a loudmouth.

This is still Fury’s fight to lose and if he still repeatedly forgos his basic boxing skills then it is quite possible he loses this Undisputed fight with Usyk. Sugar Hill has tried to change Furys whole game into this big offensive heavy puncher which has been at the dereliction of his boxing skills,ok it worked against Wilder but Fury has looked worse under Hill and far more easy to hit than at any time in his career. So much for Kronk style which is an offensive style but all based from behind a fluent boxer using basic skills,these skills which Fury has neglected since being with Hill. The Fury that fought Ngannou loses to Usyk simple as that,Fury needs big changes and needs to get back to the basic boxing that he showed for the best part of his career. Fury back to the boxer is a step in the right direction but the Undisputed fight is still a fight that he is capable of losing,this Undisputed fight is the biggest of both there career’s and you can guarantee that Usyk is going to turn up on point with a proper gameplan so Fury best do the same !

 

Fury likes to intimidate, some men can't be intimidated. When that happens he becomes frustrated, he could be his own worst enemy.
