Better resume Fury Or Bowe

I already posted my view above. I don't see a reason to do a top 20 list when both guys have top heavy resumes.

 

Your post critiquing of my list gave the names of 8 x boxers you felt should be ordered differently. 6 of those weren't amongst the "top heavy" names you referenced on a subsequent post.

You critique the list of another, without having the balls to offer your own alternative, that's your propagative, it just means I won't bother to engage you on your comments (which I'm certain bothers you not 1 bit).

Whilst I don't think there's a huge amount in it, I think Bowe's resume is better than Fury's current resume, you think the opposite. As has previously been the case when we've had different opinions on a thread with a poll, it seems the vast majority agree with me (26 vs 6, at the time of this post), despite you being the self proclaimed "most influential poster on this site".

Herbie Hide=Homeless man’s version of David Haye

 

I think that Fury has taken a critical hit to his standing worse than any HW champion before him, his fight with Francis will haunt him to the grave.

 

Bowe without question ..Fury is a very courageous and charismatic fighter , no question and has talent and utilizes his size but that aside he has fought two names, a very old Wlad and a very limited Wilder ... I feel Fury is very overrated and said so well before the Francis fight many times ...

 

Whyte and Chisora are better than 90% of the guys Bowe fought though.

Coetzer loses to Francis
Biggs probably loses to Cunningham
Thomas loses to Kevin Johnson

 

If you asked me to name the fighter that most resembled David Haye, in terms of size, style, attributes, weaknesses and overall quality, in all of boxing history, it would be Herbie Hide.

 

I agree. That's why I said he's a homeless man's version of Haye. Similar fighter, with the following differences:
1. Haye unified at cruiserweight whereas Hide never won a belt.
2. Haye won and defended a major heavyweight strap and defended it, whereas Hide didn't.
3. Haye beat notable heavies in Ruiz, Valuev, and Chisora, whereas Hide only beat historical footnote Michael Bentt.
4. Haye lost a decision to a prime ATG heavyweight, whereas Hide got stopped early twice (Vitali wasn't even prime).

Very apt comparison, sort of like Rocky Marciano and Orlin Norris.

 

I love the Classic Forum, but one downside is people that dksab can make picks in fantasy fights that will never happen without ever definitively proved wrong.

Yeah, we agreed the ban bet. I don't think it was enforced and I didn't pursue it. Taking candy from a baby isn't a good look.

 

I upheld my end of the bet and only took the bet with an odds line anyway. I had an awful avatar ready to go.

 

Props to you mate. I probably would've made some elaborate excuse, and argue my guy was robbed.

Fury is NOT a great historical fighter, never mind even near the best of his own subpar division.
