This was the first thing I thought when I saw this news. I won't be buying the card to watch a gimmick headliner. Ngannou's only relevant because Fury **** the bed.

But hey, Joshua isn't champion, so he is free to take this fight. If he plans to fight three times again in 2024, then one knock over job isn't an issue. Plus it will restore some pride to boxing.

Though looking at it from Ngannou's side of things. It does look like he is cashing out. If he was really serious about boxing he could get more experience being matched in a winnable fight and against a fading name if money was an issue.

They should be making Wilder v Ngannou. Both guys would actually benefit from a win over the other.

This will just be a one sided beat down. So yeah, stack that undercard please. Whilst I'm not going to hate on it, I for one won't be bothering to stay up to watch this mismatch.

If it's Usyk, why do those 2 need to fight again? Hearn is betting on the outcome being Fury beats Usyk.

Match room are a joke lol

Well Fury got death for taking Francis fight, I bet a few bum boys on here will say how brave Aj is for fighting Ngannou lol

Fury snorted white and drank his way into the frank fight. Aj will lock himself away and train like a Spartan for this lol

His fights have been so handpicked these past few years.

Francis is going to knock him out and I can't wait to see Eddie cry lol

Hrgovic fight will probably be afterwards as the ibf belt won’t be available by March

If I am Ngannou, I am bum rushing him and trying to end it early.

He lands hard on AJ’s glass chin, it is night night.

In worst case you are spot on . Try to make the miracle again and if it fails take the money and go home .

I hope ngannou has a fighting heart and not only tries to cash out but you are right its strange to take a fight where the chances are high to leave with a 0-2 boxing record .

I,m curious if mike tyson will be involved again . If yes its more than a cashout since i believe mike would not be happy to be involved in something that makes no sense.

This fight makes a lot of sense for AJ...

    It's a huge payday.

It revitalises his popularity with the casuals, we all know his stock was low and his PPV status was in danger of fading. Its not us die hards that matter, we are the few.

If he dominates Ngannou then he has two wins over two people who gave Fury hell.

I'd rather have seen him fight Hrgovic but this is by far the much bigger fight.

If Joshua wins comfortably or with ease then Fury's paradigm drops further into the toilet.
Personally I think Usyk is the best in the division and would clown the version of Fury of his last three outings, I'm still not convinced that fight actually happens, Fury is jelly.
So that then means a dust up between Fury and Joshua for the Battle of Britain, which would be a huge fight.
Ngannou could upset the script, Usyk still beats him.
I don't think this era will end with a clear winner regardless, just because a few of the men were avoidant.

This sucks. Fury's poor performance continues to plague the division, because now multiple HWs are going to run a train on this guy for an easy payday.

I like this fight. I don’t care that Ngannou has only had 1 fight. He's clearly top 20 material.

Joshua better not lose this. I think there is big chance he does lose though. Ngannou is the raw physical freak that Joshua isn´t.

And ngannou will have soon on his record two absolute top notch boxers ( fury and aj ) where lets say zhang or joyce still have zero .

And wilder will be refused what ngannou is offered .
