According to Chris Mannix (very reliable) - Wilder and Zhang may return on the AJ V Ngannou undercard on 8th March.

They may fight each other he says.

Made a poll below but pretty clear who should win this fight especially as Wilder is a complete shell of the fighter he was.

Zhang 4th round KO for me.

What a brutal matchup for Wilder.
Something is telling me we're getting Moorer-Tua part 2

This'll be a KO. Neither are points guys.
And both are past their best. I think Zhang has the better chin but Wilder the more explosive punch.
However, if you can't get the bomb to the target.......
    Could go either way.

    Zhang 杀死他! (Like Ali Bomaye)

But seriously though, a good right hand is always going to be tough for a southpaw.

Good way of putting it - brutal.

If it happens I do give Wilder credit for taking this fight.

Agreed, but I think it is:

    3 parts bravery
    6 parts delusion
1 part Wilder loves an old fossilized southpaw with heavy feet

It's good match making if this comes off

Could be interesting TBF; Zhang is known to gas, and Wilder carries his power until the end... Though I would still favour Zhang.

Fight chumps in your prime as a champion then when you're clearly on the slide and have no title fight top 10 contenders. Wilders management got it backwards.

The idea of two big punchers going at it in a fight that largely depends on which bomb lands first always makes for an exciting fight. That said, I back Zhang on this one, 100%.

Fury ain't exactly known to be a huge puncher and he was able to get Wilder on his ass by the end of the third in two different fights. Zhang's got big power in both hands and is very sneaky with his punches, and if he could crack Joyce's chin in three he can do it to a man whose been down early twice and whose head movement ain't much better. Sure, Zhang's head movement isn't great, but his abilities to parry and block punches are pretty underrated, and given how badly Wilder telegraphed even in his younger years, I feel like Zhang wouldn't have much difficulty protecting himself long enough to land his own big blows now.

I'd say Zhang by KO5, and I feel like I'm being a little generous to Wilder with the rounds.

Seriously? The Saudis are gonna give Wilder another payday after that trash performance he just put on?

Honestly, Wilder probably was the most entertaining one-dimensional fighter we've seen at the HW division. But the fury trilogy knocked some screws loose in his head, and he sat on his butt for too long and whatever fire he once had in his belly is long gone. He looked like a scared novice against Parker and seemed to want to stay a good distance away from him most of the fight. He barely engaged and looked like he didn't want to be there. It was honestly sad.

I think Zhang bashes his face in like he did to Joyce, but I would very much like to be wrong. It would be amazing if the Wilder of old came out and smashed Zhang in round 1. I doubt it'll happen, but I really hope it does.
