Should have been Hrgovic but hopefully Joshua honorably defends the honor of boxing.

No hate on Ngannou, though. Can't blame him for doing well.

I agree that this should be an easy night for AJ, but Ngannou has the touch of death in his fists and AJ is protecting a glass mandible. It should be exciting while it lasts, maybe Ngannou was a difficult proposition for Fury with his unusual style.

    I like this fight.

Joshua could fight for the IBF belt. But he so t be the Champion until he beat the winner if Fury vs Usyk.

Dangerous fight for AJ. Ngannou has real dynamite in his hands. Fury was **** scared to engage him

I agree that a top MMA fighter would require a heck of chin. So I also agree it's very unlikely he gets KO'd off a single shot.

On the flip side, MMA is three rounds. This will be 10-12. It's one thing taking one to give one against Fury. Another to try it with an elite puncher. Similar to what Joyce discovered against Zhang, after his sails were full of wind from the Parker victory.

Though, whilst I don't expect a spectacular stoppage ala Zhang v Joyce 2, I fully expect Joshua to comfortably outbox Ngannou and possibly break him down and stop him late from accumulation.

I would be very surprised if it went any other way. I don't think Joshua will rush for a KO. He will surely have learnt his lesson from Ruiz Jr. 1 to not do that.

It's going to be similar to Wallin. Both style wise, aka AJ will go to the body hard and then target the head, and also finish wise. Ngannou going to be out of his depth and his team throwing the towel/stopping it between the rounds.

Will people on here stop crying about Hrgovic and open their ears?

Hrgovic fight can't happen before the summer, this was already explained.
AJ have already said he won't wait on anyone and he doesn't want anyone to stale his career anymore, and he will be active.

So the choices was waiting for the Hrgovic fight sometimes in the summer, or stay active, and he obviously choose the wiser option to stay active.

IBF hasn't order anything, hell they didn't even come with new ranking since last fights. They won't strip Usyk/Fury on February 18.
There will be quite some time passes before they decide to strip Usyk/Fury.
Also they will need to mandate a vacant title and order a fight, so that takes time. The fight could go on purse bid, etc, etc.

Fighters also need to know this a lot earlier to start their prep. So there was never a possibility for IBF title fight on March.
That fight as already explained by Hearn it will happen in the summer, prolly June/July/August.

AJ will fight Ngannou as stay active, and then IBF will order a vacant title fight, and then we can talk about AJ - Hrgovic.

Just a quick reminder that Ngannou become a legit boxer when he beats Tyson Fury last year. Fury lost clearly, and he needed to cheat + corruption from the judges.
100% illegal intentional elbow. 100% uncalled another KD. Fury gassed out badly and was scared to engage.
I don't buy Fury fangirls excuse that he was not ready or not train as well, as his own wife say he didn't see him for 12+ weeks, and his own team claimed that this was his biggest camp to date - 12 week, and that he trained hard.

Ngannou just beat the living s**** out of him.
Let's not forget this as well:

Doesnt do a lot for me, if true. Fury opened the door to these treading-water type fights - and legitimized them by taking Ngannou lightly and putting on a poor showing. Now we have other top contenders essentially stagnating the division by doing the same thing.
I'm happy for Francis as he seems like a good guy, and he exceeded expectations. But I have no interest in this, although I feel much less strongly about AJ wasting our time than the champion of the world doing it when he had plenty of good alternatives - shameless of him.
