Hrgovic fight will 100% happen, so no reason to be disappointed. If you are Hrgovic fan(i don't know), the only question you should have is will Saudi call Hrgovic for a fight on the undercard of AJ - Ngannou.

This is Boxing, as you know things change on daily basis, and depends what offer comes, as this are prize fighters, so money talks.
And Ngannou is essentially the Wilder replacement money fight for AJ.

AJ fighting Nnganou is a no brainer

As we sit here today there are no belts or fights to be made for AJ. However Francis is a fight that can be made. Has been offered and is being paid for.

No point thinking about Hurgovic and silly stripped IBF titles when they're not available.

All these people saying "fight Zhang" as I've been saying for nearly 12 months straight, boxing is a business not a sport. It just so happens that the best business cases tend to involve the best matchups but not really right now.

By fighting and beating Francis suddenly AJ opens himself up for a potential Fury bout. Assuming Fury wins and assuming Usyk retires not using his rematch clause.

Its a cash grab, keep busy fight eventually sets up a Fury fight. Brings a lot of publicity from the casuals. I'm not even mad.

I'm a fan of Ngannou and he made a decent account of himself last time. Curious to see if he can replicate that in another exhibition.

I'm not a fan of any individual boxers since Froch and Pascal retired.

I just always like the best to fight each other.

As I said though, I can appreciate the bigger picture and what Saudis are doing for HW boxing is definitely overall a positive.

AJ Nnganou will be bigger than Fury Nnganou.

Francis had an acid test in hydrochloric acid on debut and came out without a burn shocking the world and now he's going for another dip in Fluoroantimonic acid and everyone will want to see what happens.

Can a man born from their mother defeat Francis Nnganou?

Yeah the only question is, how long that will last. Things in the HW were so bad, before they stepped up. What happen when they left though ?

Mentality is most of fighting once you get past a certain hurdle. Francis is tough as a brick. Game as a pebble. AJ has to box this man off a jab to break him down then take victory.

Actually a very decent post by you, as i always said if Fury is not the topic, you are a smart poster.

And i think you said it perfectly here, it's the Saudi that are doing the offer, so they offer huge money for that fight on March. AJ doesn't have a better option, of course he will take the fight, whether you like AJ or not.

Hrgovic is going to be fought in the summer. And i hope AJ fights Zhang after that.

Still if this 2 fights happen, aka AJ - Ngannou(this is signed and confirmed already) and Wilder - Zhang though i got to give huge credit for Wilder. While i never rated him as an World Class operator, you can't complain for his 2 opponents, Parker and Zhang. Definitely better than Wallin/Ngannou, no doubt about that.

It will be bigger for sure, and it will be even bigger, if Zhang/Wilder are on the undercard.

Let's be honest, that doesn't really mean much. Whyte was never all that.
I don't care what Wallin was supposed to be, or how his fanboys/AJ detractors overrated him. At the end of the day, he showed that he is an unremarkable fighter that probably shouldn't belong in the top 10. Just because other idiots briefly thought that he was the HW terminator, doesn't mean he was.
So what ? Are champions the only ones who have to face elite opposition just because they're mandatory ? That's total bull****. If Joshua wants to prove that he is still a top dog, and not by relying on his image and stuff that he did half a decade ago, then he needs to wear his big boy pants and fight someone like Hrgovic, Zhang or Joyce. Just because Fury is a shitty champion doesn't mean Joshua is excused for taking the convenient way out. If you don't beat an elite and proven HW, then you're out. Whether you're a champion or mere contender doesn't change that, no matter how you try to spin it.
It doesn't do squat. Fury looked like **** that night, and everyone (without bias at least) knows it. I don't care for the reasons why, but it's obvious that he was. He was slower, flat footed, uncoordinated and looked frail, and not just because Ngannou made him look that way. Ngannou clearly had more ability than what was expected, but that doesn't change the fact that this was clearly not the Fury who beat Wilder in their second fight. And Fury was never anything more than a big, quick (for his size), scrappy and sloppy mess even at his best. And you know how anti-Fury this sub is, the poll was to be expected. Other more neutral posters here who also don't particularly care for Fury had it for him or a draw. It was a close fight either way against arguably the worst Fury ever. So why would a win over Ngannou be good for AJ's legacy ?

If, and only if, AJ doesn't drop the ball here, will it even be something close to good. If he drops the ball, which he very well could, as hot and cold as he is, then this will be one of the worst mistakes in Boxing during this century, if not ever.

He is a 270 pound muscle bound monster. He can KO not just a horse but a polar bear.

AJ will be on his best behaviour sticking behind a jab.

If Francis does it which I believe he can people claiming boxing is a farce need to understand that heavyweight are different creatures. They exist in a different plane of reality to normal humans.

Joe Rogan will baptize Ngannou as the greatest combat sports' athlete of all time, and most MMA fans will dance around their new God around a campfire. He already called the win over Fury ''one of the best in combat sports' history''. Add an AJ win on top of that, and it's over baby.
