The first offer from Matchroom in 2018 was a $15million flat fee with no rematch https://www.boxingnews24.com/2018/07/hearn-wont-improve-his-15m-offer-to-wilder-to-fight-joshua-in-april/#:~:text=Hearn says that even though,35 in favor of Joshua. Conveniently ignoring the first offer from Hearn/Matchroom etc to fit within the narrative you seek ! The more lucrative offer you posted came after the first Fury fight in which Wilder was gifted a draw. People may even think the more lucrative offer came after Wilders performance against Fury and maybe then Matchroom grew a pair but they still knew that Wilder was already tied into a WBC mandatory fight with Brezeale .
Been saying this for years. His chin is a little fragile and mentally he is afraid of big power Francis might not be Wilder or Zhang but he is strong and has power. This is the first guy with any power in years. Aj may likely be too good? But i have a feeling he is going to slip up and get stopped in rounds 6-8
Yes, and the mandatory with Brezeale was part of the deal. Wilder turned down a shot at undisputed and much, much more than he'd ever made before. Even the first offer was almost four times more than he got for Fury later in the year.
The Wilder fight was a done deal, but Wilder lost. I don't like the Nagannou fight because I don't think he deserves to fight the top guys at this point. But, the top guys see value in fighting him. He can make guys money, so from that perspective, he has value.
Skip about as much as you want, the first offer was a $15million flat fee offer. Why have you chose to ignore the reply offer from Wilders Team put to Joshua in response to the derisory offer from Matchroom ? Hearn/Joshua not only turned down this shot at Undisputed for a lot more money but also lied about it ?
And that offer was 15 time more than what Wilder has ever earned. Wilder was never even close to being a draw, never on AJ level in terms of draw. And the Dazn offer was 120 million for 3 fights, Brezeale, and 2x fights with AJ. Also we all know what a corrupt piece of **** the WBC are, so Brezeale was never a factor. Wilder took that fight, cause Brezeale was already a damaged good by AJ. But let's say it was AJ that never wanted that fight. So Povetkin ducked Wilder too ? Ruiz ducked Wilder too, right ? Parker when was a champion also ducked him? Klitschko ducked him? Whyte also surely ducked him, right ? What's the excuse for this fights to not happen, h ?
According to Hearn it wasn't a serious offer and he never heard back from the Wilder people. So that's a he said/she said. But we have confirmed from Wilder himself that he turned down 100 mil for undisputed. That shows he never wanted it. He turned down the by far biggest thing out there in terms of both money and legacy. The proof is in the pudding.
Francis is dangerous. He has no fear of trading with AJ and has an iron chin. If Francis hits his iron anvils on Joshua it could be all over. Nagannou is more dangerous than Wilder. AJ would absolutely obliterate the Wilder than fought Parker
We also have it confirmed from Joshua that not only was it a legit offer from Wilders Team but that he also rejected it. Joshua also at that point turned down the far biggest thing out there for him in terms of both money and legacy. The proof is in the pudding,as you say LOL.Wilder and Joshua have both admitted to ducking each other, again another fact you choose to ignore to fit within your narrative ! https://boxingafrica.com/2018/12/joshua-admits-wilders-50-million-offer-was-real/ https://www.*****.net/2019/02/17/anthony-joshua-deontay-wilder-guarantee/
Not sure if Joshua really is ducking the big punchers or maybe it’s his Manager/Promoters avoiding fighters that they think may make Joshua quit again !
Yeah and he knocked Wlad out after taking Wlads best punch. And power is the last thing to go. Ruiz isn't a puncher? Everyone knows this? I didn't know that. Didn't get that memo, but please send me it so I can sign "You're wrong, please take a punch a from Ruiz.
Joshua ducks the big punchers. Always has. His last three fights were against pillow fists and a shot Helenius.
This I had not seen before, actually. It says: "In short, there are a lot of hands in Joshua’s pockets. And he could not commit to taking the legitimate $50 million dollar offer because other allegiances would prevent him from doing so." It seems to have been a rights issue. But fair enough, the Wilder team did make him a legit offer it seems. Why Wilder turned down the later offer is a bit murky.
