Patterson from 1960 onwards was generally in the 190's,have you got confirmed weights in the 190's that Beterbiev fought at?

    Yes he had lost to
    Ali
    Lavorante
    Johnson
    Chuvalo
    Rademacher
    Not exactly nobodies.
I said moderate not world beater.

You are sure a 9 fight Beterbiev beats no 3 ranked heavy Doug Jones?
    How about heavyweights
    Terrell no 3.?
    Folley no5.?
I think Beterbiev in no better than 50/50 against Bivol but. if I had to bet I would put a wager on Bivol.

Obed Sullivan doesn't qualify as a moderate heavyweight?

He doesn’t pass The Herbie Hide Test, so not in my book.

I feel like you’re bending your language to avoid saying “journeyman.”

Actually my vocabulary is pretty extensive.
I feel like you are avoiding answering my last questions.

Day before era and he had heavyweight fights as an am. Patterson bulked up to even reach those weights.

Beterbiev fought at cruiserweight as an amateur and actually faced Usyk there. So 200lb is probably his limit. That's probably one of the reasons he is so effective at LHW. He is on the physical limit for the weightclass.

Let's put the kneejerk reaction of asserting Beterbiev is as naturally large as Frazier to bed. He puts on around 7 pounds over the evening as a matter of public record in his 30's. If you've ever had to make weight, you'd know the hours after the weigh-in are among the most crucial. He is not putting on 7 pounds after the weigh-in only to gain 20 pounds in the hours before the fight.

So Beterbiev would add what 18/20lbs in a day?
What Patterson weighed as pre 1960 is irrelevant. Fact,Beterbiev is not as big as Patterson was.

If you’ve seen Beterbiev in action, in person, you’d know what I’m talking about. Huge neck, traps, torso, and legs. Great balance, doesn’t take a step back. He’s a big guy and would put plenty of 220 pounders on their back foot.

Beterbiev won the world light heavy Cup as 178 1/2lbs/Do you have any weights for any of his other amateur fights,in particular any at Heavy and Cruiser?
