Should Jay Nady have let the fight go on between Kostya Tszyu and Zab Judah?

One second he's staggering falling the next second he seems totally fine

It's on Zab for popping up too early

Any ref would stop a guy who fell twice

I’m under the impression that the referee must stop the fight if a fighter goes down twice from the same punch / knock down.

 

Absolutely spot on to call the stoppage. Would have been outcry if he let it continue.

 

Doing the chicken really isn't proof that you are done. I think Nady stopped it quickly. I've seen fighters in worse condition recover.

At the time I was disappointed, because I was pumped for this fight. But very quickly I thought it was the right call. Judah's head may have told him to continue. But his legs were absolutely done. I think he would have got seriously hurt if it carried on.
Never liked Nady though, as an aside.

 

Bobby Czyz, commentating for Showtime, that night. He actually thought that was the rule. He mentioned it post fight. Him and Steve Albert, faces white as ghosts as King Kostya had just derailed Showtimes latest hype job.

After Judah got up the 2nd time, he was stumbling and falling backwards. Nady grabbed Judah's arms and prevented him from falling again.

It would have been hilarious to see Judah fall down a 3rd time from one punch.

I noticed that while watching it live on tv. Nady actually held him up but the commentators etc. None of them mentioned it, real msnbc, cnn stuff.

 

Ref not only let Bradley continue after provodnikov dropped him n Bradley got up and fell again, but then said it was a slip haha

 

Damn. I remember that battle, but don't recall Bradley falling twice from one shot. Need to watch it again.
