It was. He was doing stand up and asked an unknown and persistent heckler at back of the audience to come outside.

He didn’t remember too much of anything after stepping out - but did find out that the heckler was Galento.

I’m scratching to think of more examples though. I think I recall seeing Tom Sharkey in cop attire, badge included, but it might’ve been a costume (film role?) or the like.

Sonny Liston was accused of impersonating a cop - is that close enough for hand grenades? Sonny would’ve fit right in with the SVU - Special Violence Unit.

 

The thing is, I was excited by the thread title, but when you used the thing I was going to say in the original post, my joy died. This is a tragedy that happens all too often on these boards. One I will put an end to if I am elected in 2024.

He became, shall we say, over exuberant during one of those assessments that involve simulated scenarios and Liston went way too hard on his fellow cops who were “role playing” as criminals.

He was applauded for his “enthusiasm” but deemed too much of a loose cannon and therefore let go.
