Which is rather frustrating as the general narrative seems to be that everyone is ducking Hrgovic, but willfully ignoring the fact that Hrgovic seems content on fighting nobodies.

Definitely. AJ fighting NGannou is bad, but I have a funny feeling Hrgovic will fight someone worse.

Same here, and I'll be glad to see it happen. I'm a big fan of Zhang and favor him to win this fight by knockout, but I could definitely see Parker pulling off a very close decision if his chin is able to stand up to Zhang's power. It's a big ask, and it'll be much harder than against Wilder considering Zhang brings a bit more to the table than he did, but it's hard to rule anything out in boxing, especially when it's two big guys in there.

 

If Parker fight Hrgovic he will lose badly. Filip proof this fight few things
1. "New" Parker doesnt exist. Its only style of opponents. Maybe this open some ppl eyes because after Wilder win they overrated Joseph imo.
2. He proof that he is legit top 4. Even if Zhang win with Wilder he still beat better Man and beat also Zhang himself.

Hrgovic is bad matchup for Parker. All bad. Bigger, better punching power, iron chin and good work inside round.
He is just better version of Joyce WHO destroy Joseph. Better because he got more dinamic in punch and probably even better chin. He is quicker too.

Its easier to win when Your opponent belive in 1 punch and throw 35 punches thru hole fight. Filip is agresive and dont afraid go to war. He throw almost 700 punches in Zhang fight. He will chase Parker and he cant escape.
KO for Hrgovic in second half IMO

 

Ballsy move by Hrgovic if it happens. I definitely think he beats Parker, but still a risky fight when waiting for a big payday. This fight will of course also be good money if it happens, but my hat off if it does.

 

This is a very risky fight, Parker is a landmine and Hrgovic will really have to fight well, after all, with this possible victory, Hrgovic would deserve some respect...

 

Not soo risky. Parker is almost perfect opponent for Hrgovic to make ppl stop complain about him. He got no advantage over him and he is just after big win with Wilder what give him very good opinion- that's why when Filip knockout him his action go to the sky.

People think that Joseph Parker lost to Joyce because use bad tactic. No. He lost because he was always boxer who go forward not trying outbox opponent and he faced bigger, stronger dude who go forward like truck dont care about hit he takes.

This is similar situation. Parker will face man with good technical skills + bigger puncher. Also with chin hard as rock.

I dont see Parker winning this. If he accept this and choose Filip- huge respect.

 

Actually, he has some advantages over Hrgovic. Parker is quicker and way more experienced. All the other advantages belong to Hrgovic though

 

I don't think it'd be 'exposing' Zhang if Parker won, just like I don't think Zhang exposed Joyce. All these are Top 10 fighters who could win and lose against each other depending on styles etc. Besides, Zhang's stamina is so bad that he drew against Jerry Forrest. It's not like we don't know his weaknesses.

'Exposed' is really overused in boxing these days...
