Dont think Parker is quicker than Filip. They pretty equal imo but Filip is bigger soo he must do less than Parker in the ring.

Still think that fight for Parker is bad matchup.

 

It would be exposed if Zhang loses handily because people have gone way overboard rating Zhang far too high just like they did with Joyce.

There was a thread here of people favouring Zhang over Muhammad Ali and a thread here of people favouring Joyce over a prime Mike Tyson.

Zhang is just flavour of the month if he loses people will change their tune.

 

Hrgovic is massively overrated. Apart from his gift decision against Zhang, who has he actually proven himself against? There's a reason he's content facing cab drivers.

 

Zhang fight was no gift. Watch it without tv Zhang sided talking and without simphaty. He outlanded Zhilei in 9 of 12 rounds. Throw almost twice more punches. Ppl judge this fight by their expectation I guess and by bigger problem in fight (Filip got worse here)

He dont choose cub driver himself. Nobody want fight with him that's all. Parker also year or 2 ago said no to fight with Filip for IBF nr. 1

No it wasn't. Hrgovic spent rounds out on his feet.

Besides, if you're going to do comparisons for their best opponents: Parker schooled Wilder over 12 and Hrgovic was gifted a decision against Zhang.

 

I'm a big Parker fan since well before he became well known. However I have to agree; Hrgovic would be a very tough fight for Parker indeed, to be honest I also don't see many routes to victory barring a very lucky punch or a disastrous Hrgovic off night.

Parker is willing to fight everyone though, including when he's the underdog - so it wouldn't surprise me if he signs the Hrgovic fight. Zhang is however a better option for Parker in every way so I imagine his team would take that if given the choice.

 

Zhang is old and has health issues, he definitely doesn't always fight at his best level.

Parker probably can't walk through Zhang, but Hrgovic was trying to force the action whereas Parker will be more focussed on defense and stay away the first 4 rounds or so until Zhang is a bit gassed.

I think Parker has a decent chance there even if I wouldn't pick him.

 

Would I prefer Zhang? Yes.

But Hrgovic it may be. Andy Lee better have a plan!

 

Disagree with gift decision over Zhang.

I had Hrgovic winning by a point when I first watched it. Very close fight, Zhang landing the cleaner and harder shots but Hrgovic landing the greater volume of shots. I saw the punch stats of this fight recently and Hrgovic did land the much higher amount punches according to it.

I might give it another watch.
