    :bump

Seems like a good match-up, despite the war of a thread in here

Bivol is now 33 years old, and, has not scored a stoppage in almost 6 years. The facts speak for themselves.

Hill also had a few notable early stoppages vs Tiozzo, Kinchen.

I don't think you can make a 100 percent assumption about which fighter hits harder.

But in reality both fighters have average power and more than likely this would be a tactical fight that goes to the scorecards, I doubt very much power would be much of a factor in this fight.

I agree. But, Tiozzo was extremely durable, and, Hill stopped him early. (His only stoppage loss in 50 fights). Bivol has no knockouts whatsoever on his record against elite competition.

This is ridiculous.Bivol has no power and Hill has a granit chin.

I would rather say if Hearns can beat Hill, Hearns can beat Bivol as well

Tiozzo was a pudgy guy at the tail end of his career who had been fighting cans for years. Tiozzo came out cold, got rocked, and Hill forced the stoppage.

it’s a solid win, but it’s not exactly like laying Tarver out cold.

Tiozzo was only stopped once in 50 fights and held titles at Light Heavyweight, Cruiserweight, so I would say an early stoppage over Tiozzo is a fairly impressive win.

The best opponent Bivol has stopped is Sullivan Barrera.

Neither look to have been/be in the 'power-hitter' class and I doubt there's a whole lot in it, but I don't think between them it's too difficult to favor Hill in the power stakes.

Bivol has really only stopped pre-crushed tomato cans.

It’s a good win, but it’s one of those “if you watched it…” type of fights. Tiozzo reminded me of Homer Simpson on that night minus the punch resistance.

Tiozzo still had enough left in the tank to go undefeated for the rest of his career, and, handed Dariusz Michalczewski his first and only stoppage loss a few years later. So, it can not be rationally argued that Tiozzo was finished when he got crushed by Hill. Hill nailed him with good shots, and, stopped him. Simple as that.

Dariusz was even more washed up. Narrowly beating Silvio Branco in a fight in which he got dropped was the best thing he did after Hill.

Bivol is really a good fighter but Hill has the more proven resume so I would assume you have to go with Hill. I mean what is Bivol's best win? Sullivan Barrera?

Bivol's best win would be Canelo, to date, surely?

If you mean best stoppage victory, then Sullivan Barrera is in that mix, I suppose.

On paper you could say it was his best win but then again Canelo was a little guy and never proved much at 175. Hill on the other hand beat proven light heavyweights champions in Maske and Tiozzo.
