My legendary uncle against that guy from the fan man fight, well actually before that when he was in good shape. 12 rounds.

I don't know, Young was slick as oil. But I'll cast my lot with Bowe

Riddick Bowe has lost one fight in his career, and we know how. And Jimmy Young is no Andrew Golota.
    Bowe wins.

People think Jim Young and envision a guy that pranced all over the ring. He something did , he sometimes didn't. . He would often hold on like he did wit Foreman.
All those clinches and grab attacks worked on a dehydrated Foreman but would backfire against Bowe

Bowe wins on points but, like most against Jimmy does n't look good in doing so.

    Bowe W12/15 by close-ish decision.

“Jimmy young is no Andrew golota” You’re right. He was miles better in his (admittedly short) prime.

He would be the reigning world champion if he was so absurdly better than Andrew.

Many thought he should've been. He did miles better against Ali and Foreman (yes even that version) than Golota could've dreamed of. I also don't think he beats Norton or takes him as close as Young.

To be fair Swag most people believe Golota deserved wins vs Byrd, Ruiz, which would've made him a two time world champion.

Of course Young fought much better opposition but Golota is a Super Heavyweight and his size, jab, make him stylistically a more troubling opponent for Bowe than Young would be IMO.

It's one of them where Golota probably wouldn't do as good vs the likes of Foreman and etc as Young did, but on the other hand I think Golota is overall a more troubling opponent for Bowe.

All in all I could see Young frustrating Bowe and probably going the distance, but i don't think he does enough for the win personally.
