Who Khataev? Yeah, I'm still waiting for him to fight someone with a pulse before I proclaim him that. No doubt he's good though.

It's 50/50. Sure, I'll be rooting for Bivol, but the lack of power does worry me, and he is in perfect rabbit punch range.

There's a lot of all action guys who go balls to the walls throughout that I'm not all that high on, because their matches become repetitive and a bit dull to me. There's a dynamism and creativity of a Golovkin or Kovalev that he lacks. You're right, he is vulnerable, which is why I think a guy who is as sharp of a counter puncher as Callum, can exploit those vulnerabilities perfectly, same thing I thought when I picked the other Callum, who inexplicably took his foot off the gas after he dropped Artur. I'm hoping we get the Smith of the Fielding match tonight and it's guns blazing until someone is flat on their back. As far as Gvozdyk goes, that match infuriates me, not sure if you've rewatched it, but I have twice, the sheer amount of rabbit punches he landed on The Nail was obscene. So I view that win as tainted, the ref was terrible and should've warned him countless times, but didn't and almost cost Oleksandr who is tough as nails, his career and potentially his life. Of course he's better than those vomits. Still, you and I both prefer guys like BJS and Kovalev, who are just a little bit assholish.:sisi1

All this talk of rabbit punching has reminded me of a really funny comment I read somewhere once, not entirely sure where. They were talking about a matchup and going over this one guy's skillset, making him sound as good as possible. Then they wrapped it up by saying "But there was one hole in his defense: the back of his head."

I wish I could remember where I read that. Remembering the last line is great but the whole thing kinds needs to be read to get the full benefit

Nah, think it was before that. Though it prolly applies... granted, it may be hard to make De Mori sound that good, but I'm sure with enough word twisting it can be done :sisi1

Well i liked Krusher, i didnt like Saunders towards the end. As a fighter Beterbiev brings it all, he has a few untangibles that Krusher didnt have, which makes him harder to beat. Despite him being less talented as a boxer.

Smith is a boring ******* himself lol. Hes a complete droll, and he lacks adaptibility in the ring, more so than Beterbiev.

I like a band you don't like, you get pissy.

I don't like a fighter you like, you get pissy.

Now that's beyond settled, and there's site wide evidence to back that up. But, I guess I am that flattered that my opinion means that much to you.

As far as your actual comment. The only thing that's settled is, I will occasionally do that with fighters I really don't like or have a blindspot for, because I like them so much. That's something I've readily and you've readily acknowledged. You take the emotion out of it, I'm brilliant at calling a fight, and you damned well know it.

As far as who I've picked to beat Beterbiev, the length of that list might surprise you.

    Gvozdyk
    Johnson
    Smith Jr.
    Smith

    That's it.

Crying about random **** instead of talking about the fight. And you quoted me this time around. Yeah, everyone knows you pick mostly on emotion and that's why you finish outside the top 10 of Kirks every year.

I picked Johnson to beat Beterbiev as well. Actually I thought the fight would play out exactly how it did apart from the Beterbiev getting back up part.
