Possibly true. That was not so much of a single punch that shut Smith down, but an accumulation of power punches that made it impossible to keep standing. That is the type of knockdown from which noone recovers.

Smith is the youngest of 4 brothers who all box. He probably took a few hidings because he has a very solid chin.

Boxing is beyond s****, this is the reason. I love Beterbiev, and he is a true p4p in my mind, but i'm not okay with it. Very often his punches are somehow borderline on the being illegal/legal.
He is not using technique or anything to open his opponent, just smashing him to bits and landing punches on the top of the head, behind, etc.

Not okay, and this should not happen in a sport, where there is supposedly rules.
Rules are there for a reason and should 100% be follow.
Not just for rabbit and illegal punches, but for lowblows, holding, leaning, etc, etc.

Hats off to Callum. Gave as good he's got. No crying and just being a man in defeat. Respect. Was a superfan of him when he was coming up, and he's definitely redeemed himself on the back of some bad performances at SMW somewhat since moving up to LHW. Still young enough to earn a world title once Beterbiev/Bivol dust has settled.

 

It's crazy how Artur will throw what looks to be a short slow punch with no power but when it lands the opponents head snaps back like they got hit with a bat.

It's pretty difficult to pick, Bivol has barely lost a round his entire career, Beterbiev is as hard as a rock and has dynamite in both hands.

In saying that, unless Beterbiev gets old overnight, he looks to be on another level to Bivol and should pummel his way to a late stoppage or a punishing UD.

 

So now Team Bivol wants to make a fight when it's ramadan ? When they know that Beterbiev will be the weakest ?

Callum wasn't very complimentary of Beterbiev's boxing ability. But then credited him with being effective with applying pressure and fighting the fight he wants to fight. Callum's head definitely still scrambled.

 

I disagree. I didn't see anything wrong, Smith turned when ducking down while Beterbiev was throwing a combo. You do you though, to me it was a legit KO.
