I have Beterbiev 55-45 favourite against Bivol at this point, as that was a great display - but I think Bivol would shutout and dominate Smith as well (but not not stop).

The big difference to consider in the Beterbiev vs Bivol matchup is that Dmitry doesn't relinquish the centre of the ring, manages distance superbly well, and is defensively sound - and has proved this time and again against bigger hard-hitting guys.

For me right now the biggest factor in their fight is almost inverses of each other - Smith's only moments of success came when he was at the best distance for him and keeping Artur being defensivley minded - and this is something Bivol usually excels at.

On the flipside, Beterbiev is relentless and is not just crude with it - he is intelligent, and manages to close the distance quickly, and is great to the body, something that Bivol may have a LOT of problems with.

Can Bivol keep Artur defensively minded for the majority of all 12 rounds, and fight his fight at his distance? That's a tall order!!

One thing is for sure, I think we will only see the 100% best from these boxers if they fight each other, I can't wait to see what unfolds!

Wilders wins started to dry up after Fury. Also, Wilders first knockdown against Fury was a clear rabbit punch. Despite that, Furys first knockdown against Wilder in the very next fight was landed in almost the exact same spot and Wilders fanbase blew their lids calling Fury a cheat. I really don't remember anyone calling Wilder out for his rabbit punches, but I do remember Wilders fanbase calling Fury out for rabbit punching.

That ring was ridiculously small for a man of Smith's height. Mundo needs room to manuever. Dude spent the whole fight trying to contort his body into fitting himself into this baby's crib of a ring.

Great performance by Beterbiev after his inactivity & considering his age, he was busting up Smith with that jab & was outboxing him before the KO

But he gotta watch it with the rabbit punches & refs need to be stricter in enforcing the rules, happened in too many fights now & we have the tragedy of Prichard Colon to show why those punches are illegal. It is not just rabbit punches but refs let so many low blows go along with clinching (Haney should have been warned & deducted a point for his running bear hugs to Linares for 2 rounds to survive for e. g.) that I wonder why even have rules if they are so afraid to enforce them

Let's hope he signs the Bivol fight next as Bivol already signed & we finally have an undisputed LHW this year

    I saw that as well.

Beterbiev was probably going to beat Smith 9/10 times, but it was clear to me that ESPN or the powers behind boxing wrote the script and were making this fight as an infomercial for Beterbiev-Bivol in Saudi Arabia.

But that's not how the rules work. Just because you lost but being dirty, should not be excused.
Wilder in his very last fight, aka against Parker was throwing and landing hammer punches, which are 100% illegal. Even Parker said after the fight he had lumps on the back of his head.
Also the reason for Beterbiev wins is not the rabbit punches, let's be reasonable here.

And i already said this is a problem and need to be cleared, but good luck as Boxing is beyond s**** in terms of rule and being a fair sport.

The last knockdown may have hit the ear, but come on, there were some clear as day rabbit punches. The ref even warned him about it. It’s not a coincidence that it happens in every one of his fights.

Looks like Beterbiev's HGH shield saved him from the nasty uppercut in round 4 :)
