Chris Eubank Sr years ago in Brighton. Nice guy and had a lot of time for the fans. Ricky Hatton in a pub in Coventry when he was promoting. Real down to earth and loved the banter. Friends with Baz Carey, tough journeyman who's fought khan, Gomez among many others. Top bloke , a great laugh and trains like a demon. Used to work with Neil Simpson, ex British light heavy champ. One of the most laid back people you could ever meet. Went to school with Richard Evatt and Roy Rutherford
A mate of mine bumped into Gary Mason in a night club in Wales he was doing some promotion real good bloke was chatting and messing about I wish I could have been there RIP champ you are sadly missed.
Evander Holyfield - He head butted me Floyd - He asked me if I had any good under/overs to bet on Prince Neesham - He asked me If I wanted a photo Ricky Hatton - He stole my pint of beer. And my pie when I wasn't looking. Zab Judah - He started dancing like a chicken Kostya Tszyu - He asked me If I like Ivan Drago. I said no. He winked at me. Winky Wright - He winked at me after Kostya winked at me. The he winked at Kostya.
I trained at a semi-known boxer's gym who built a decent regional record, took a big cash out dive and opened a gym. Guy was a dick.
I with sone friends was at the fight wlad vs corrie sanders in zag arena hannover / germany . A big show , wlad was praised as a 'german' king fighting in his home country . There was a break between the undercard and the main event and we went out for a cigarette . We returned a bit late and barely took our seats to just see how wlad wobbles around and kisses the canvas .
Chris Eubank Sr in London 4 years ago, he was polite and let me take a picture, said I looked too young to remember his fights with Nigel Benn in the 90s
