Good post. Makes perfect sense. Huni has plenty of time on his side.

He's ranked in the WBA. Do you think he's looking to work that pathway? Also, I take it his injury issues are pretty much behind him, or is there anything ongoing that you know of?

BTW ... I think if Huni was going to take a leap, it might be someone like Anderson who's WBA ranked just above him.

His injury issues are behind him but like any boxer who has had hand problems it will take time and rounds under his belt to truly regain belief in his tools of trade, so to speak.

He is only 24 though, very young especially for a heavyweight, and needs to work through the gears but he is a special talent. He may even be the best pure boxer in the heavyweight division. But he will need to be because it looks as though he will have to win his fair share of fights via the judges. His chin has not been severely tested although Gallen got him a couple of times and Huni didn't flinch. But whilst Gallen has decent power, there is a stark difference between that sort of heat and Hrgovic/Joyce/Zhang/Dubios level spice. Can Huni take that sort of power? Nobody really knows at this stage.

I actually think he could beat Hrgovic now (he wouldn't be favourite but he would certainly be a live chance) but I don't think it makes sense to fight someone that accomplished just yet. I'd like to see Huni fight another 3-4 times before he takes that step. But he's on the radar now so we'll see how his team manages him.

edit - Anderson is a good shout mate. Huni would beat Anderson but it's a logical fight to make.
