We're there any promoters who generally looked out for boxers, who were good guys?

Well, Eddie Hearn seems rather good at getting failed drugs tests to go away. Not sure if that counts as looking out for the boxers, and definitely doesn't make him a good guy. Mickey Duff came across as a relatively decent sort.

small hall Promoters maybe, but Big League Boys were all business and Bull S--t,

they don't/didn't give an eff about the Fighters, they cared even less about Honesty and how or who they made the money from, just so long as they got it.

I personally think the Media Players & Pundits, who shamefully try to sell the B.S, are the lowest scum of all, they care even less than the care less Promoters.

for me it is simple, you mistreat, marginalize, misrepresent, lie, cheat, steal and Disregard People, and of course that's what the Fighters are, People, you disregard them and sell out in the process, you are the lowest of individuals, and Boxing's Players are just that

 

Unlike King,Duff paid you what was originally agreed, he didn't try to shake you down later.

 

I've read on numerous occasions that Aileen Eaton, the promoter for the Olympic Auditorium during it's golden years, was very fair to the fighters.

No. It's kind of like asking are there any honest politicians? It takes a certain type to function in that setting. They are business people who are in it for the money.

I remember watching Danny Garcia fight a stiff named Rod Salka. A total mismatch fight and Salka had no business being in there. This was on Showtime or HBO, a pay channel to make it even worse. My dad turned to me after the fight and said, "if they had to kill that guy to make money, they would do it".

I can't recall the promoter's name. He is a newer promoter. A shadowy figure in boxing who you never see on camera talking. He should be locked up, no conscience.

 

Is professional boxing a sport or a business; whether professional boxing is run by athletes or businessmen?
If it's all business we can bring Brad Pitt to box instead of Hagler, Leonard, Duran and Hearns.

That's what a good manager is for. At least that used to be the way it was. Now, I guess, a manager has to sell his fighter's soul (and his own) to a big-time promoter or alphabet-sanctioning body with TV connections to advance in the sport.
