Joe Joyce vs Kash Ali - March 16th

According to boxrec Joyce is ranked 8th in the world, Ali is ranked 181. Shouldn’t be allowed to happen really.

 

Been mulling it over but I can't get over how bad a fight this is for Joe. He was mandatory for a world title shot this time last year.

Beyond pathetic.

 

I expected a big step down to give him a run out and build his confidence but this is disappointing even with my low expectations

 

Kash vs Joyce is all over in less than 4 rounds.

But a good confidence booster for Joyce

 

I didn't even realise Kash Ali was still fighting.

Surprised Joyce isn't rolling the dice against Sanchez or a similar opponent on one of the Saudi cards.

 

It's called rebuilding. Softer touch than expected though.

If it goes 4 rounds that’s poor from Joyce. This should be a 1st round blow out, 2nd at worst.

 

Yes being generous here and expecting Joyce to take his time to feel his way in. However, first round knock downs and a second round stay down job would not be a surprise.

 

Joe needs to be on it for this one. On paper, it’s a one sided affair. If Ali can manage to catch Joe with a few decent shots, who knows what happens. If Joe is lacking confidence or is losing his resistance, it could be a harder night than expected.

 

Isn't the plan for Joyce an easy comeback victory and then a big fight on a Saudi card ?

 

Something for Kash to get his teeth into.

 

I get a tune up fight after the last 2 but this is taking the p*ss. How are they allowing this fight.

 

Dreadful match making. Joyce should be fighting someone within the top 20 rankings. Someone like Kevin Lerena, who put up a decent fight against Dubois.

 

I get it Joyce needs a an easy confidence boosting fight. but Gash Ali ? Really ?

It's couple of weeks too early before April fools day.
