A guy who would go on & claim the H/W championship of the world from Holyfield gets easily stopped by Beterbiev at Light Heavy? Okay, bro.

He didn't have a great defense or chin at 175.

And how many times did Moorer hit the deck against Holyfield when Holyfield came in healthy?

I heard you the first time bro & said 'okay'. Try re-reading the post so you understand it properly.

You & others can go on resumes. I'll go on what I saw. I saw a guy at Light Heavy with the strength & punching power to hold his own with Beterbiev. One of the few I've seen who I'd put in that category.

Alright bro. You can bank on his performance against Frankie Swindell being the same as how he'd do against Beterbiev.

He beat all the usual suspects, mainly everyone Roy did except Gonzalez (his first loss).

I was referring to the narrative top 5 LHW and correlating someone who has a better resume not being called that.

If you saw him that much you'd know Virgil's skillset only failed him 3 times during his prime. Two of those guys are ATGs. In fact, if not for Hearns Virgil likely would've been on the winning side of a 20+ title defense reign. And Virgil was huge.............and an outboxer. I think Virgil deserves the benefit of the doubt here.

A miss is still a miss, they stayed and he moved on. He became a bigger name indeed so I can't fault that. But for Moorer, there will always be a what if there because he didn't get those names at LHW, and there really wasn't a reason for him not to.

I understand that, everyone likes the divisions they like, my favorite divisions historically are WW, MW, SMW and LHW so I have paid a bit more attention to that division. There's some very good fighters in that division, not necessarily big names or the most celebrated or well known but really good fighters. That's my issue with the question is Beterbiev top 5 of all time at the weight. I think other than WW and MW that division may have the absolute deepest pool of quality in all of the history of boxing

He absolutely is. No one wants to fight him. He's collecting all the belts and doing it in style. He is at the very least among the top 3 LHW's H2H. I don't really care about trying to make perfect comparisons between modern fighters and guys who fought 70 years ago who had 80 fights. People need to learn to adjust their expectations for a modern sport environment. Would you really be more impressed if Artur decapitated some no hoper every month? He unified with Gvozdyk in his 15th fight in front of no one for no money - this tells you everything you need to know about what he's willing to do. A champ who goes UNDISPUTED at 21-0 (21 KO's) will be remembered forever. That's greatness.

Not at all, especially when you have his resume compared to Ezzard Charles, Archie Moore, Michael Spinks, Harry Greb, Gene Tunney, Tommy Loughran, Bob Foster, Matthew Saad Muhammad, Harold Johnson, etc. His resume just isn't close to the same level as those guys.

I enjoy Beterbiev and would like to see if he can continue his dominance and retire unbeaten but I can't see a case of him being Top 5 greatest LHW when comparing resume. Perhaps Top 10 but we'll have to wait to see how his career pans out.

Dariusz didn't beat Tarver and Harding. Those are large omissions.

Bob Foster doesn't have much on his resume. He'd be way behind if Beterbiev beats Bivol.

He turned pro aged 28-29 y/o and his career has been blighted by inactivity. How good do you think he would've been and how much more do you think he would've achieved had he turned pro in his late teens or early 20s like most of North America's best do? I saw him in the amateurs and I can assure you he was an absolute wrecking machine in his early 20s, the most feared amateur in the world, and someone who every other LHW dreaded being drawn against.

If you don't think an absolute prime, healthy much less injury prone younger version of him wouldn't have been an even stronger force in the pros than this old version, and I know that there are many clowns out there who do actually believe this about certain fighters or fighters from certain parts of the world who they deem inferior based off the way they look or the geographical region they come from, then I don't know what to tell you. At very very worst he would've been just as effective but with far more time to achieve more.

These are the same type of clowns who will try and have you believe that had Loma turned pro in his late teens he wouldn't have become a six-weight champion even though it's so obvious he would've if you actually have a semi-functioning brain and switch it to ON.

Be real hard to get into the top 10 at this point, probably impossible

He would probably have to beat Bivol, Benavidez, and then move up to CW to beat Opetaia. That's pretty much impossible at this point of his career though.

Hmm? except Moorer has heavyweight power and would come into the ring around 195 to 200 pounds.

Moorer was 22-0 with all 22 wins by knockout as a LHW a 100% KO ratio, he's regarded by many as the best LHW of all time, ain't no way BeterHGH has an easy time with Double M like you're saying. I think Moorer would knock Beter out.
