Why Fury will beat Usyk

The truth of the matter is nobody knows who is going to win and that's why we are all so excited

And it isn't costing us $99 PPV! All hail king turkey

The worst part is 0 atmosphere

but I'm looking forward to having such a high level bout where we can hear every punch land and even them talking to each other which no doubt Fury & Alex will do. Good old natter and a cup of tea mid round.

Usyk might not stand up again from the shot that knocked fury down . Ngannou has twice the punching power of usyk and twice the size of balls .

Based on last outings, I think Usyk is ahead of the game.

I think Fury is receiving too much benefit of the doubt in respect of his own last outing.

To soften the complexion of his last fight he is being afforded to have been 1) well out of condition and 2) to have faced an Ngannou who well exceeded expectations.

Even a Fury in half decent shape was projected to easily have the skills to outbox and stop the debutant.

Primarily and most significantly, Ngannou’s own size and strength neutralised the advantages that Fury usually enjoys via his leaning, mauling tactics to stifle/tire his opponent.

Just as importantly, those spoiling tactics also normally allow Fury to periodically rest during a fight - a luxury he was denied against Francis.

So, Fury was left to box it out, show off his skills - but the skills weren’t sufficient and Fury’s fuel tank was being more heavily tapped at the same time.

Ngannou has power of course but did that specific left to the side of Fury’s head necessarily warrant a KD?

Has Fury’s resilience possibly deteriorated - a fact perhaps overly masked by Ngannou’s reputable power?

Fury was quite hurt and stunned by the punch but, yet again, he was inexplicably allowed a full 23 seconds after the KD to recover.

Ngannou did fight better than most anticipated but I think the degree of his performance absolute is being somewhat exaggerated by some, serving to mask the deficiencies in Fury’s own game.

Francis was exhausted also, likely more so, his output was inhibited - and he had every reason to be limited in those regards in his first pro outing.

Just as well for Fury that Francis couldn’t muster a more consistent offence than he did display in the fight - but he still gave Fury big problems.

Perhaps a misleading pointer is the perception that Usyk can’t hurt Fury - I think he can, via punches landed in bunches and that he will also likely set out to pick his moments and punch harder in this fight at any rate.

Dubois isn’t the most resilient guy around but I believe Usyk would’ve still gained a measure of confidence from the decisive manner (particularly post low blow) in which he walked Dubois down and ended the fight - and Dubois was throwing low shots not only before but also after Usyk’s drop to the canvas - but Olek fought through it.

I’ve got Usyk but how the ref chooses to regulate this fight could have no small impact on its complexion and outcome.

 

Lol people said the exact same thing before the Fury fight, in fact they said Fury was much better and more skilled than AJ. To say a man who arguably beat the top HW of his era in his first pro fight can't box is ridiculous. Ngannou actually showed about 10x times the boxing IQ than you'd typically see from Deontay Wilder.

 

For the sake of boxing Usyk needs to win this

Imagine if that actually happened.

 

Fury will imo lose to usyk, he will get schooled and even perhaps stopped late or get disqualified for extensive fouling.
Fury will never be in the shape of his fight against vlad klitschko. That shape and style of fighting would beat usyk in a decision. Fury can't move like that anymore, has not the stamina anymore and more important not the hunger of then anymore.
Usyk is faster, more agile, has seen way more styles and is mentally an absolute monster, has better stamina and way higher ring IQ.
Fury is lazy, fed up and not even close to his physical best, and never will cause he damaged his body too much + he is mentally unstable, way more then when he fought wlad.
Usyk will outbox and embarass fury if the fight happens, I am not sure if tyson will find some excuse to not fight usyk.

For Fury, his laziness and his fight with Ngannou said it all. Although he claims that he was well prepared for the fight with Ngannu. Now he won't be allowed to be so "well prepared". Now he will have to put blood, sweat and tears into training to defeat Usyk.
Fury understood that his entire career and legacy were "at stake". And he's gearing up for a fight so maybe we'll see Fury fit like never before.
After this fight, Fury will be remembered as the undisputed HW champion after a quarter of a century, or he will be remembered as an embarrassment that happened to the heavyweight division.
