Not this again. Khan simply wasn't anywhere near Floyd's level. Too many holes in his game.

Khan beat Maidana more convincingly than Floyd he even dropped him. Yes Khan got hurt , but so did Floyd his knees went at the end of the round against Maidana lucky for him. So let’s not pretend Floyd walks over Khan here.

Floyd even put out a poll stating that he would fight whoever won the poll..Khan won…he fought Maidana

Yes Floyd may beat Khan, but he was too much of a risk. Instead he did what he has done throughout his career, choose his opponents

Floyd loses. He doesn't do well against guys who have a pressure style once they crack the philly shell. I think Khan has enough power and angles to do just that.

For all the talk of Khan's blazing hand speed, so few seem to acknowledge how incredibly lazy he was at bringing his hands back. His footwork was clumsy and he was poor in close quarters.

3-4 rounds of Floyd adjusting to his hand speed and 8 to 9 rounds of Floyd dismantling Khan. Khan's KO rate at Jr. Welter and up is below 43% so he isn't gonna be hurting Floyd so is Amir going to outbox Floyd for 12? Unlikely.

Just so we are clear about my bias: I don't like either of them.

Floyd figures Amir out, anyone saying otherwise needs there head checking.

Light years apart in terms of ring IQ.

    Timing > Speed

Khan gives Floyd no end of trouble in the first 4 or 5 rounds…. But as he often did, he gets greedy, doesn’t offer enough variety and stays in the pocket too long and gets hit. Floyd was laser accurate and Khan didn’t hold the best shot.

    Mayweather mid-late KO.

Khan is probably competitive early before Mayweather finds his chin with a right hand and knocks him out. Khan's chin is that bad, even feather-fisted Mayweather would get the KO.

Khan had no answers for Crawford's superior timing, ring IQ and footwork. Floyd would adjust to him.

I've always been critical of Mayweather but even I think Khan didn't deserve the fight vs Mayweather.

He simply didn't earn it, he instead talked a lot of **** in the media, stayed inactive expected Mayweather to just gift him the fight, while Maidana instead took the Broner fight that Khan declined to take and stole the fight from under him. It was pure arrogance on Khan's part that saw him literally throw the Mayweather fight away.

Yes the Mayweather.com poll had him winning the poll to fight Mayweather but he was losing to Maidana until he begged on social media for his followers to vote for him on the poll. 2 other polls at the time, including one on ESPN had Maidan winning by a landslide. So reality is even the boxing fans didn't want the fight they wanted to see the Maidana that had butchered Floyd Light in Broner in with the real thing.

I'll also add that Maidana's mauling style was a far tougher style for Mayweather than Khan's. He'd have taken a few rounds to adjust and time Khan's speed and then KO him. Anyone thinking Khan stood even a remote chance is as dumb as Khan.
