Joe Joyce will be able to rebuild? Set to Face Kash Ali, not a good start. Tony Yoka would be.

I don't think Tony Yoka is much better than Kash Ali at this point, but I'll never say no to seeing him lose. With that in mind, I'd love to see a Joyce-Yoka fight. Let Joyce find some catharsis in knocking out the man who took his gold medal home

 

Yoka would undoubtedly beat Kash.

 

I always wanted them to rematch in the pros and I wouldn't be opposed to them fighting but Joyce is at an age where he can't be wasting time and Yoka right now doesn't really offer him anything. After this warm up Joyce will no doubt look to step back up and fight someone who presents more of a challenge and rebuilds some of the momentum he's lost and I'm not sure Yoka would be anything more than a filler type of fight. But still wouldn't mind seeing it.

Speaking of Yoka, a fight with Merhy would be a good one for Joyce.

 

Meh, he lost to Lerena, don't think that fight does anything for Joyce. I'd rather see him in vs someone like Bakole or Kabayel.

 

I think Joyce needs to do some rebuilding before that. Get back in there, get active and step up in 3 or 4 fights.

 

If he was in his early 30's then that would be fine but at 38 he can't waste a year fighting 3-4 confidence building fights like Joshua did after the Usyk losses. He might only have 2 years left where he can make big fights and make the type of money where he can retire on, so he needs to be having meaningful fights after this warm up.
