Great MW, good LHW who strategically avoided punchers. Beterbievs LHW career>> Jones in terms of quality. Blown up MWS and bin men dont give him the edge in terms of quantity. There won't be any argument against Beterbiev being the greater LHW after he beats Bivol this year. Don't rate the Ruiz win. Ruiz was a total fraud and a fake champion. Plenty of talented MW-LHW from past and present who would school that bum. Fatso Toney schooling Ruiz after Jones is further proof of this.
Overall resume. Roy didn't stick to one weight like Beterbiev lmfao. And by that logic Samuel Peter getting schooled by Toney, only to push Wlad life and death beforehand goes to show Wlads accolades, since we're bashing an entire career on the bottom of the barrel criticisms. Toney would also beat Beterbiev. So would John Ruiz due to style and size difference. Calling Roy a fraud is dishonest. Roy's atg status craps all over big B. Not even trying to discredit the guy because he just needs bivol to be ATG if he isn't already
Based on what names in the pros. Him beating Roy is understandable but Ruiz and Toney at heavyweight hell nah you must be on something
Also look up the definition of fraud/conmen. a "fraud" can still be a talented boxer. There's a serious misconception of what fraud/conman means in the context of boxing. It can be someone like Audley Harrison but it can also be used to describe the likes of Mayweather, RJJ or Clenelo with generational talent but also benefited heavily due to politics and careful matchmaking.
Ruiz was a glorified clubfighter journeyman without Don King fixing his fights and giving him the unfair push. Garbage fighter. Toney has the best chance of the 3. Toney was very solid at CW-HW. So I get giving him the edge.
Did you see Arturs face after the Yarde fight? He beat him up pretty good and landed 38% of his power punches. What % do you think prime Roy lands? Beterbiev would be target practice for Roy.
Anyone can "look at records" if you understand the context and content of the fights it's a different story. Ruiz was a fraud. Simple as that.
Ruiz was mediocre, but with context the term "Fraud" at best describes him being a paper champion. He still has a better record than Beterbiev at heavyweight because Beterbiev has never done it in the pros. He's also... much bigger. Will Beterbiev even attempt to move to Cruiserweight ? I would like to know
Calm yourself down, lad. And read the whole thread before getting your panties in a bunch. Have you ever heard the term "preaching to the choir ? "
Winning by faking low blows, gift decisions, excessive clinching and fouling that would make Wlad blush and he was schooled by two former MWs. He was a fraud dude. IDGAF about greats at LHW not having experience at HW. I still give many of them the benefit of the doubt against that pathetic fraud.
