I was well up for going to the Queensbury Card. The cheapest tickets are £65, arena world is also £20 to park from memory. So for if we went along (wife doesn't mind a bit of boxing), it's £150 minimum before you've left the house. I get these cards cost to put on, but seems quite pricey? Or am I just being a tight ass? Not just a Frank thing, Eddie's have gone up post covid. The Jonas card was only £30 but that was dross.
It’s a lot for the cheapest tickets, absolutely. BUT looking at the seating map, hardly any of the arena is open and a quick search for two tickets at the cheapest price came up with what I imagine would be a really good view. I’ll hold off and see if any come on the seat filler websites, otherwise just watch it on the telly.
A bit annoying. I'm not a million miles from Solihull so was tempted too. I guess with Heaney on the bill, they can charge a premium because they know he easily brings a good few thousand.
It’s the same with anything post-covid. This country is becoming either a have or have nots sort of place, depressing.
I paid the same for the card at copperbox and had exactly the same thoughts. Only got to 1 card last year though so thought why not and Copperbox is a good little venue.
Agree with this and flights to the states have gone very expensive if you want to watch international boxing.
Yeah agreed, I think the same with everything over here these days though. I pay £15 to go watch my local team in the conference south, while go to some England away games aswell - was only €9 for my ticket to watch England in the San Siro last year. We get the **** taken out of us over here
No don't think your being tight, myself with a young family and feeling the pinch more lately I've just completely scrapped paying out for things like that as can't really afford it anymore. Things have got a lot tighter for people. There's a discrepancy as costs for everything have gone up and they need to break even pay fighters etc, but the section of the population with disposable income such as this is getting smaller all the time. Or maybe that's just my personal experience
Not saying you have to drink but £80 a ticket, 5 beers at £8 each, transport and some food, looking at £145 and that's without beers before or after
Jonas was terrible. The top 2 tiers were closed bar a small section and people moved down onto the lower. Even then there were massive swathes empty and people who had been brought in from around the Albert Dock and hotels just to make it up. Strangest cried ever.
Can an Admin please suspend this guys account for 2 weeks for spreading lies. It’s a well known fact there were 7,500 PAID fans in there watching the fight of the year.
