Usyk vs. Fury could be better than Lewis vs. Holyfield?

Holyfield was about the same age in those fights as Usyk is now, do you think this fight can be as big as that one?

I would say its an insult to compare lewis and holyfield to current fury and especially usyk .

Look at the media : everybody talks about aj vs ngannou and nobody about fury vs usyk . That should say everything .

    I doubt it's as good as Holyfield-Lewis 2 .

Hopefully it’s better than the first Holyfield vs Lewis.

Why? I can understand about Fury with his clowning, but Usyk? Really?

As for popularity - it's not a popularity contest, and Lennox himself wasn't very popular back then. He wasn't even the most popular HW in UK in 90s. Bruno was far more popular. Does it make Lewis worse or less relevant than Bruno? I think you know the answer

Holyfield vs Lewis 2 wasn't bad, but it wasn't great fight either. Hell a lot of clinching by Lewis. But rounds 7, 8 and 9 were good. Counter left hook by Holyfield in round 7 and monstrous uppercut by Lewis in round 9 were things of beauty.

As far as fight entertainment value goes, we'll just have to wait and see, won't we.

It might be a classic, it might be a damp cautious squib, or anything inbetween.

It's still a possibility that it doesn't even go ahead....only takes an injury.

    Don't be counting chickens ..

That in the case of Lewis Vs. Holyfield waited 25 years to fight for the undisputed HW champion; Lewis Vs. Holyfield would be a bigger show.

Holyfield was past his prime by the Lennox Lewis fights.

I think the Holyfield that fought Riddick Bowe in their first two fights would have beaten Lennox.

Fury,s Clowning is a personal liking or not , i do not judge boxers by their public apperance .

I,m talking only about legacy and especially usyk,s legacy in hw pro boxing is a lousy few fights with only aj as a noteworthy contender .

Compare this to the amount of hw rights of holyfield - and the level of his opponents .

Holy- Lewis two (Like GGG- Canelo 2) should probably never have have happened.

Lewis comprehensively defeated Holyfield in the first fight.

    I gave Holy two rounds.

Upon rewatching in an effort to understand the judges reasoning, and being as favourable to Holy as possible, I scored it 9-3.

    Not the least bit competitive.

The only possible reasons for a rematch ?

    Utter incompetence of the judges.
    Or corruption.

Maybe but he fell quite a bit short on both Lewis outings and he was juiced.

It will be a great fight because if one of them has the upperhand with their respective strategies(the one i suspect they'll use anyway), the other one will probably have to put up a savage and monumental physical effort to turn it around.
