We've only seen this "surgical" version of AJ against Wallin for the first time since about 2018. He mostly stunk up the joint Vs Franklin and Helenius.

Don't get me wrong, he looked good Vs Otto but let's calm down a bit

The cult of lewis is ridiculous.
He is way sloppier than people pretend, and has a weak chin for his size.
AJ is clearly better than him, both in technique and in chin.
AJ would likely beat lewis, and at the very least has a good chance of winning.

    Based on what?

Lewis proved himself beating the likes of Holyfield, Vitali, Tua, Mercer, Ruddock, Golota, and avenging both his loses. He proved he was a great fighter and the best British heavyweight in history.

Joshua does not have a better chin, simply watch the Briggs, Klitschko, and Holyfield fights. AJ does not have better technique either, he got absolutely dominated by Usyk twice and never showed the jab Lewis did.

I'd probably give Lennox a good chance now nevermind 20 years ago.

AJ has worked very hard to develop his boxing brain from that of an infant to that of a 5 year old.

Still nowhere near enough vs a professor like Lewis. This is where the real differemce between them is.

Lewis would jab AJ to death because hes too stiff and hesitant and then figure out a way to put AJ out cold even if AJ matches him in Athleticism.

People need to calm down with this wallin performance, Otto was his sparring partner. He knew Otto had nothing for him. Against a grandmaster with power like Lewis he would be back to his hesitant self. The 2017 version would do better

That Lewis was an old lion. Skulking, patient, with that end of the career timing that comes from realization you will not outfeint and outplay the fresher kid.

End stages Lennox "manned" up against Vitali, an entirely different animal. I would still pick him against current Joshua. Imagine that round 6 uppercut he landed on Vitali landing on Joshua.............

AJ Pre-Wlad/Ruiz has a decent chance at springing the upset. The more gunshy and safety first version would probably be stopped later on.

It's heavyweight boxing, anything can happen. I'm also surprised that some people actually pick AJ though.
