Good video, Rummy. He deserves to get in.

As Rummy said, several of his opponents were considered serious contenders when Wilder demolished them like nothing.

People dismiss Wilder and his wins because they don't like his style. Only boring, generic, uninspired, conventional boxers get any respect.

 

He will get in and probably should IMO... While his resume isn't great (especially when you consider the recognisable names of his era who he hasn't fought, eg Usyk, AJ, Klitschko) his epic trilogy with Fury alone probably seals the deal for me. Add in his crazy knockout power and propensity for excitement and it's fairly clear cut.
As an aside, and I love you Rummy, but I do wish you would stop referring to Fury as the lineal world champion. It's just a marketing gimmick he uses to cherry pick his way through opponents (especially recently). We should all call him out on it.

 

He shouldn't. He's not beaten a single fighter or note.

 

The typical PBC fanboys will praise Wilder and make claims that he's an ATG talent with a superb resume...its always the usual crowd that make these claims too.

Wilder is not a HOF talent. He has not had a HOF career. He is slightly above contender level and slightly below champion level. And he's only a champ in this 4+ "champion" era. In the 90s he would've been a sparring partner

 

I don't think people are fans of a promotional outfit. That would be weird.

Like no one is a Top Rank fan, or Golden Boy fan etc.

They like boxers and boxing. Not promoters and promoting.

 

He will because he is American & famous not because he was good

It is hall of fame after all not hall of ability or hall of accomplishment

That's why it makes me laugh when people count HOF'ers on a fighters resume to assess that fighters own all time standing

If there was a HOF for can crushing then Wilder would be a first ballot, automatic entry.

He didn't fight any of the top tier other than Wilder who himself only fought Fury and Parker and got beat.
