Only some posters here have this opinion . In the entire boxing world nobody questions wilders legacy .

So its just some unimportant internet forum background noise of few users .

Given that Gatti got in, I think it’s hard to deny Wilder.

No way. Wilder’s competition is a stain to men like Povetkin, Byrd, Quarry, Witherspoon. All of whom are not in the Hall. Having “connections” to land the worthless wbc strap and then fighting a collection of no hopers does not enshrine you. He couldn’t win 1 fight in his trilogy with Fury he’s a firm no.
If by long shot he gets in - it would strictly be to get fans to go the the enshrinement. It would be a business decision by the Hall. Based on Merit he isn’t even close or near the Hall. And honestly he wasn’t even popular for the vast majority of his career. He was hyped - yes- but popular no. He wasn’t selling out Vegas or even Alabama in many televised bouts designed to promote him. But he didn’t look good enough to the public to sell. It wasn’t until after the first Fury fight that his fights became must watch - and unfortunately for him - he lost the next two by Stoppage and was upset by big underdog Parker. Big No for me

Povetkin would have beaten everyone that Wilder beat, he just didn't get the privileged american treatment that Wilder got.

531 weeks as a top 10 fighter goes back to the back end of 2013 around the time AJ had his first pro fight... So its an impressive length of time to be on the top 10 list, but using it being longer than AJ as an achievement is a bit disingenuous

I don't think he done enough. . Maybe based on popularity and his specularity knockout ability.

Sadly he probably will due to his record. Scratch the surface and apart from a monumental hard punch, he was an appaling boxer.

His record is ****, fought hardly anyone of note(and won)

He'll eventually get in despite his underwhelming resume. There's been other fighters that's been inducted with less than stellar accomplishments while other far more deserving fighters get left out.
