Usyk will be expecting Fury to target the body at every opportunity like most other people predict, wether he does this with his boxing skills he has neglected of late or if he tries to bull doze his way in we don’t know until the fight,at some point we will definitely see Fury pressing the fight. What will Usyks tactics be that is the question ? This is still Furys fight to lose and if he does lose, well done Usyk .
How does beating a flawed fighter like Joshua twice equate to KO ing Fury ? You must have forgot about Joshua v Usyk 1 in the final round when Usyk was unloading at will yet still could not put over an exhausted Joshua !
Usyk , pretty exhausted from 35 mins and 45 secs of action, landed two big shots in a left-right combination with 15 secs left. The stunned AJ pulled back and was on the ropes for the last 14 secs. But he still had good head movement and Usyk , despite throwing another seven or eight punches, only connected with one, and Aj moved with that one shot, pulling his head back to avoid taking the full impact. Had he managed to land one clean shot, he had enough power to drop AJ.
Even more shocking, Rummy, you included a clip that clearly showed that the low blow was an actual low blow, and then said that a different ref might have ruled it a KD, when the actual ref was standing perfectly positioned to see what happened, and without an instant of hesitation, ruled it low. I had thought for some time (up till a year ago ) that this was a 50-50 proposition, but if I absolutely had to pick one, I would have gone with Fury. I still feel it's a 50-50, but if I absolutely had to pick one, I would now go with Usyk.
I did say this, This content is protected I stand by that. But earlier in the video I also said this: This content is protected I stand by that as well (which is very similar to what you were getting at above). The two are not mutually exclusive.
Well, here is a long count given to Fury, which another ref could rule as a KO: This content is protected
I'll spell it out for you: RC believes that Fury is more likely to drop Usyk with a bodyshot (or win via consistently hurting him to the body) than Usyk is to knock Fury down for a 10 count.
And yet didn't drop or stop him over 24 rounds. Whereas a not too obese Andy Ruiz did so in 7 via 4 KD beatdown and quitjob.
"Usyk is weak to the body" A myth started when people saw Beterbiev dropped Usyk with a body shot in amateurs. Then Fury is weak to the chin, he frequently kisses the ground.
Usyk's been dropped at least six times either officially or debatably by body shots, perhaps as many as eight times if you include a couple of known fringe cases. Is his body weak? No, he's never been KO'd. But relative to his iron chin, it's a significant chink in his armour. Wlad and Wilder are possibly the two hardest single punchers of all time, Ngannou may be up there too. If Fury had a weak chin he'd have got KO'd multiple times. On the other hand, "old school boxing" certainly has a weak brain and carries a lot of resentment. And judging by your BS claim that 39 Wlad was "shot" when Fury schooled him you're physically a mess too, given that you are 38 yourself.
Not a long count per se - I think Fury arose at 4 or 5, but from the time he hit the deck against NgAnnou til the the time it was waved back on, a full 23 seconds had elapsed - a time frame that was pretty much identical to the Wilder KD.
Let's sum up: Usyk : Olympic gold medalist Multiple amateur championship gold medals Undisputed cruiserweight champion Unified heavyweight champion Never been dropped Disciplined and lives healthy Fury : No gold medals in any international amateur competitions Never been an unified champion Never been an undisputed champion Been dropped multiple times Overweight most of the time and had problem with drugs + SUM: = Usyk beats Fury.
I have a strong back up for my claim. Teddy Atlas, who probably knows boxing much better than me, picks Usyk as the winner: https://www.essentiallysports.com/b...asset-which-will-help-him-against-tyson-fury/
